* Eagerness to hire a diverse team. This is by far the most international team I've worked in - in our team of 45, we have like 20 different nationalities. I feel the hiring process also focuses on culture fit, which pays off.
* Data-driven culture, the aim is to do a lot of experimentation
* Focus on speed and initiative - e.g. we are all encouraged to take initiative, make quick type 2 decisions, and learn from mistakes

* There are always some improvements to be made, but I feel whenever in the past I've given feedback, people have responded well to this, and actual change was implemented

I think Joonko has set up very good company values, e.g., new joiners are trained in values such as "respectful honesty", and there are feedback trainings. I like the open plan office space - though it sometimes can get a bit loud, it also creates a culture where everyone gets to know each other really well, and you often hear people laughing and joking around.
Work-Life-Balance
Almost everyone sticks to the normal working hours (9-6). We're not expected to work longer in most roles.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
For me, I feel there are good career prospects within Joonko. I'm learning a lot, and feel that I'm being pushed to learn more continuously.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
I feel there's a great atmosphere in the office. There are regular team bonding events. In the last months of 2019, there were a lot of new joiners every month, which meant people didn't know each so well - but I feel that by now, we really feel like "a team".

I think Joonko has an experienced management team. For me personally, I have a really great cooperation with my superior; we have regular contact, and I feel I could approach them with any concern / feedback.
Arbeitsbedingungen
High quality equipment, and all office supplies are provided. The Scaling Spaces building is great and also provides free fruits, cereals, etc. The only thing is that I think we could use more meeting rooms.
Kommunikation
There's a weekly Friday meeting with the whole team, which includes an "ask-me-anything" to the C-level executives. I feel the company really tries to establish a culture of open and honest communication.

I think the salary is fair.
Gleichberechtigung
I think the company actively tries to employ women, and is aware of the importance of this, especially as we're in the fintech industry. It's great that we have a very inspiring female CEO! I do feel there are clearly more men than women in the tech/data teams, and I think this could be improved. However, I realise that this is the case in most companies.

For me, the workload is perfect - my work is challenging and interesting, but I am not too stressed out.

The whole team is very ambitious and passionated about our vision and mission and work hard for our company goals every day. Everybody can make an impact and will be challenged day by day. There is always a lot of fun and cake in the office and successes are celebrated frequently with pizza and beer.

There are periods of high workload, but I think this is normal in a start-up, but there is on the other side a lot of flexibility and home office offered.

They are very open and accessible. If we have a problem, they understand it right away. So we do not feel afraid of talking to them and showing who we are and what we need. They also encourage us to compliment and give feedback to the people we work with.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
In my personal opinion and experience, I think we still need to get more mature in terms of understanding and defining all the processes we have, so that work and onboarding of new employees run in a smoother way. We are still working on this, which is completely normal, considering that Joonko is a fairly new company and this makes working here challenging and exciting at the same time.

Most of the people who work at Joonko are pretty easy-going and you do not need much time to get involved inside different teams. I think the weekly events we have help us a lot with that, because they get everyone together on a regular basis.

Everybody from different disciplines is willing to help and be able to influence the decisions across the whole company. There are a lot of new people every month, which is good, but it's also a challenge to bring every person on the same page as quickly as possible.

We also have really good rooms, which are fully equipped. The spaces are open and big and we get to see everyone everyday.

Joonko will have the ability with time to show its own worth but as a child company of Finleap, it is very clear that Joonko is a company which already has and will have a fantastic image.

I have to commend Joonko here very highly. You do not feel like a slave to the company but rather a human being with a life. I think as long as one is transparent and respectful, you will be met with the same.

This has been the most diverse workplace i have ever encountered in Berlin thus far. Not only men in high positions, the big boss is a wonderful and highly competent woman! Lots of races, faiths, ethnicities and nationalities and not just to meet quotas - almost everyone is super competent!

The office is great and offers all you need. facilities and supplies are top notch. Large spaces and possibilities to work from different rooms, meeting locations, lobbies and social areas. Big windows guarantee that daylight and air are never missing. The terrace has a stunning view where I love to enjoy my breaks and lunch
