Flexible and impactful work in a great team
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
- Flexible working hours, home office / remote work policy
- Supportive environment with great colleagues
- International team
- Possibility to bring in your views and contribute to the organisations' direction and strategy
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Being a young NGO, the financial situation is often challenging. Usually many different projects are running in parallel which makes it challenging to juggle many different responsibilities.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
- Internal structures and processes (including knowledge management) can be improved, things are often changing very fast
- Strategic direction could be clearer
Kommunikation
The team does a good job communicating transparently in the organisation through a number of different agile rituals such as review & feedback meetings, org-wide all-hands meetings or retrospectives. The digital environment (e.g. Slack) is sometimes difficult to keep up with.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Colleagues help and support each other and there is a culture of constructive collaboration within and across the different teams.
Work-Life-Balance
Being a young NGO, dealing with the high workload can be tough at times. Working hours however are flexible. Some colleagues have small children and are able to balance work and childcare responsibilities well.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
Most of the team is rather young but I'm sure Kiron would be happy to employ people who are older as well if they bring the necessary skills and are able to work in a fast-changing, digital working environment.
Arbeitsbedingungen
The equipment at the office is allright (screens etc.). One of the pluses: standing desks :)
Flexible home office / remote work policy
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Kiron is a socially-driven organisation that lives its values. I sometimes think though that the organisation's environmental awareness outside of our area of work (e.g. taking the plane to fly to attend conferences without CO2 compensation) could be somewhat higher.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
I'm happy with my salary which I think competes well with other organisations in the social sector.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Workshops and further training opportunities are available and promoted. A bit more guidance by supervisors would sometimes be helpful though e.g. when starting or changing into a new position. It's expected that you are self-driven and able to adapt.
