Great culture, mediocre work environment, abysmal compensation
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Pay your employees what they deserve. If not, then I fear that there will be a giant brain drain that will be the end of the NI/iZotope that we know and love.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Despite the merger between iZotope and NI happening about 2 years ago, everything is still very chaotic. Budgets are missing, essential people have either left or were laid off, which makes day to day work more stressful. Still, C-level executives are likeable, open for discussion and transparent. I only wish they would listen to the feedback they received.
Kommunikation
Most things are communicated clearly, however I have the feeling that what is being communicated and what is actually done is quite different.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Awesome. Pretty much everyone who works here is a musician or at least very passionate about music and their work. This makes for a very unique atmosphere.
Work-Life-Balance
No (or barely any) overtime required, flexible time off, work from home is possible, so overall very nice!
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Strategic decision are communicated but don't represent the actions that follow. Decision are slow, and in general I feel like there is a lot of overhead in management.
Interessante Aufgaben
The reason to work here! Perfect for every passionate musician.
Arbeitsbedingungen
The office is modern and equipment is okay.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Starting to get better recently, but nothing to brag about.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Terrible. The pay is very subpar and has hardly been increased in the last few years, despite inflation being extreme. If I had started working at NI today and had to pay current prices for rent, then I wouldn't be able to live here.
When switching into a different industry, like automotive, I could easily ask for a 30% increase in total compensation. However, then I would work in automotive and not in the music industry, which makes this not only a financial but also a lifestyle decision. Not a nice situation to be in.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Hardly any scheduled training, no budget for education.
