Flexible Arbeitszeit, Home office
Lack of communication and respect from upper and middle management towards the employees.
Think local as your clients are local and also check the leading and field competence of your leading troops (ask their employees they know best)
No motivating behaviour. Miscommunication between India/US and Europe.
Some line managers don't even know on which project their employees are currently working on despite the use of two different time tracking tools! Thus some work under constant pressure while others have no work at all.
Very very poor.
Overtime can be worked off. Since workload does not decrease, one keeps turning up with even more overtime.
None.
Should be related to the workload of each employee and line manager.
Good as this is the only way to survive.
There is a good mixture of recently hired elder and young employees at all stages.
Total lack of support due to disinterest (?) and/or lack of competence (?).
Considering the lack of adequate tools (free software for pdf or planning is one example among many others) and lack of technological, training and management support, one can only marvel at the miracles the employees create.
Employees are constantly facing fait accompli with hazardous consequences (e.g., replacement for closed departments not yet known, computer not available for hours because of installation of new software regardless of any client deadlines)
As described above...
Deficits of leadership in personnel management must be closed - employees not only are numbers! Create functioning processes and test (!) before starting them to avoid chaos and problems that negatively influence projects and customers.
Valuable colleagues, weak leadership
Colorful facade in front of a lot of chaos...
Training often didactically weak and not well prepared. "McKinsey knowledge" is passed on to employees unreflected. Huge problems of leadership to create functioning processes.
Very good...
Partially no personnel management at all. Weak handling of constructive criticism. Ignorant leadership style.
Tons of sand in the gears
Many colleagues have to leave.
Everyone is feeling the pressure.
No bonus, no salary increase
The colleagues are really great.
No reliable, trustful, open or motivating behavior.
Old IT, used office materials, storage room atmosphere
There is no communication between management and employees.
Very interesting job.
Absolute Flexibilität und selbstständiges Arbeiten möglich.
Die oft schlechte Grundstimmung und die häufigen Kündigungen.
Mehr bzw. etwas anderes unternehmen um Mitarbeiter zu halten.
The atmosphere is excellent. This I think comes from a flat EU hierarchy, room for growth and progression and the home office opportunity.
The processes need a little more structure and going forward, communications from Management will need to be a little stronger.
The atmosphere at Navitas is familiar and collegial. Currently there is a bit of a buzz regarding expansion after having been taken over by Navitas - so during this transition period you can feel a dynamic atmosphere, ideas flying around, processes firming up etc. Dress code is casual.
Navitas are really generous regarding flexibility - you can come later or go earlier if the need arises, home office is also possible for most.
I have been here for a while and have seen many career moves / progressions - this is the advantage of being part of a relatively small team that is expanding dramatically. I am in my 40s and this is my best employer to date. I'm really happy here!
Salaries develop well although I think generally the larger CROs offer more. The offset though is much more valuable to me (very positive atmosphere, really lovely colleagues, flexibility regarding working hours, home office etc)
There are little squabble here and there but in general the atmosphere is super friendly.
The age range is wide and everyone is treated the same.
The hierarchy seems to be really flat in Europe - CXOs can be contacted freely, doors are all open.
The offices are situated in Niederrad which is easy to reach. There are smallish offices and our doors are open. Very bright. There is also a free car park nearby. There is a canteen but it isn't that great!
Communication is really easy, direct and transparent.
There are numerous women here in Management positions.
Due to the transition period after having been taken over, there is a lot of scope to take on new tasks and to offer new ideas and initiatives. This is really rewarding.
That most employees consider themselves as part of one team.
That the communication within the company is that low that emloyees more and more do not identify themselves with the company. That parts of the management team show severe deficits in knowledge, soft skills and the ability to lead.
Don't change everything at once and involve the employees more in new developments and decisions. "Use" the knowledge of the employees as there is much Knowledge and experience available.
Missing structure and guidance leads to more and more reduced Motivation of the employees.
Many employees are not convinced of the current status of the Company.
Overall work-life balance is OK. An existing regulation for overtime helps to compensate exceeding working hours. Unfortunately most line managers do not actively check working time of their employees and interfere if too many working hours are performed.
Chances to development further are rather low in many departments. Training so far was not-existing or only very basic. Many important developments in the pharma area are not adequately trained. Currently there are plans to improve the training situation as all.
Most of the employees see themselves as part of one team and try to achieve goals together. The atmosphere between colleagues is pretty good.
Currently a mixture of young and elder employees is being hired however employees who are part of the company for a longer period of time are not extraordinarily supported.
Some line managers do not give clear guidance, are not able/willing to make clear decisions and show a lack of knowledge. Limited communication towards employees leads to Irritation and frustration.
Working conditions are in general good. Maximum number of employees per room is 4 (but in most cases 2-3). Working from home (at least some days per week) is allowed and therefore allows a high flexibility especially for employees with children and part-time employees. IT infrastructure is OK but could be updated more regularly to the current Status.
Communication is one of the major problems during the past years. Staff is not regularly informed on important developments (and if this is the case in such a general and abstract manner that it is hard to know what will be the direct impact on daily life), are not asked about their opinion and knowledge of the employees is not used in the extent it could be used.
Compared to other CROs of the same size the salaries are rather low. Employees who have stayed already for a longer time in the Company did not regularly receive an increase in salary. Additional package is pretty low compared to other companies (participation in company pension scheme possible).
Part-time employees are significantly disadvantaged when willing to develop further.
Due to the mid size of the company and the lack of specialized departments employees can perform various tasks they would not do in bigger companies which makes work interesting in general. Influencing their own development and working tasks is rather limited.
