Marketing over engineering
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
RE'FLEKT has a good visibility in AR/VR market. The company directors have a huge network and marketing apparently does its job.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
The working conditions for software engineers are horrible. There's no time to do your work properly and you rely on junior "developers" mostly. If you want to make even low-level decisions (e.g. coding guidelines) you need to convince even people outside of the company. And all this only to finally notice that people cannot even stick to simple guidelines. Salary only depends on people who have no understanding of software development or how to achieve a successful (software) product.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Get a CTO with engineering background in charge - above the current company leadership. That might save the day!
Arbeitsatmosphäre
When I left the atmosphere was on the bottom. No possible way down anyway! Can only become better :-)
Kommunikation
... and I thought Germans are negative ... but EVERYONE is complaining every day! And only behind the backs ...
Only few people are honest.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
There're some groups of people. I cannot say everyone sticks together, it's rather one group against another one.
Work-Life-Balance
I'm effectively working about 2h a day, so I cannot complain. But there were times I worked even on weekends.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
The feedback was not very useful. I was usually not involved into any decisions concerning my projects.
Interessante Aufgaben
Cannot be recommended for software development. Interesting problems to solve are solved by 3rd party libraries.
Gleichberechtigung
No women in round table. Sometimes sexist comments.
Arbeitsbedingungen
No internet but (SOME) very nice people helping you out when you need help.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Mostly good, but motivated people are underpaid.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Bad salary. It's too late to offer high raise when you already mentally quit the company.
Image
People are mostly complaining about the company. Apart from marketing guys. The image from outside the company is pretty positive opposed to reality.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Small training budget but seems OK for a small company. However, a lot of people require training to fulfil their daily tasks.
