Arbeitsatmosphäre

Atmosphere with the team was usually great, management had a very “micro” way of overseeing tasks and projects. Some encouragement but also public airing of mistakes, even if they didn’t try to get the full picture beforehand

Kommunikation

Company updates were shared regularly, which is positive.
Communication within teams or one on one lacked empathy, felt super top-down majority of the time.

Work-Life-Balance

You have to set clear and unwavering boundaries. Flexible hours are great, but if you’re not careful you end up being contacted after your work day with “urgent” matters

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Sadly, the way management deals with employees (communication, trust, expectations) is not encouraging or promoting joy and growth, most of the time. Feedback is always given freely in order to “push” but never received well in return.

Interessante Aufgaben

Clients and subject matters are highly interesting. “Product” as auch is unique.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Almost no benefits, salary is on the low end. Of course you don’t work for the money alone, but you want to be compensated fairly, especially in this industry.

In cases where performance falls short, more hands-on management may be necessary to ensure alignment with our goals. We recognize that this can feel restrictive, but it’s essential to maintain high standards and delivering results. Our goal is always to empower our team, not to micromanage—however, consistent performance is key to that empowerment. Our culture fosters this entrepreneurial spirit, and that’s something we take great pride in.

- Feedback & Transparency: We believe in open, honest communication. Feedback is direct and constructive, and yes, we do share mistakes publicly (including all leaders, also the CEO)— not to embarrass anyone but so the whole team can learn from them.

- Work-Life-Balance: As with any remote first company, it is in your responsibility to manage your time properly and to set boundaries. This is the reality and the only realistic practice when working in a fast-paced, high-growth remote setting and gets communicated by us when hiring very clearly. While this dynamic may not suit everyone, it offers significant benefits for those who thrive in such an environment.

- Merit-Based Promotions and Compensation: At our company, promotions and pay increases are earned based on performance and the value individuals bring to the team. We believe in rewarding those who step up, take on more responsibility, and drive results. A great example is our current Content Team lead, who started as a copywriter just 1.5 years ago and now leads the entire content creation department, with five employees under his leadership. Compensation and bonuses are well known before starting with us, and for those who may feel their compensation isn't where it should be, we encourage open conversations. If you want to earn more, the answer is simple—contribute more value to the company. This often involves taking on more responsibility, which is key in our entrepreneurial culture.
