Verbesserungsvorschläge
Replace department management by somebody who could really manage the engineering teams. Stop playing with the holacracy, get back to the classical team model. Remove the politics, value you employees with the regular raises and performance reviews.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Very poor and bad. Department management plays their own games. Very political atmosphere with pressure.
Uncertainty in the future of the department. Management tells a lot of "sweets", but usually plans turn to the opposite. It even became the tradition - when you hear "Everything is super", be ready to be hit by the bad news.
Kommunikation
Sadly bad. However C-level tries to be transparent. On the second level (departments) zero transparency. Sone strange decisions were already made but communicated too late.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Colleagues are mostly united in the groups, some of a groups are very unfriendly, looks like the bribing.
Work-Life-Balance
This is maybe the best thing - work remotely from anywhere. But a lot of the late releases and pressure to work in the unpaid overtime.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
That is really the worst thingy. Our department does not have the team leads, everyone is directly under department management. There is only nano-management, and favored people, who are usually not under control. So called "holacracy" model was introduced, where the teams do not have the leads, just some of the strange roles. This brings a lot of unclarity to us as the developers.
People are quitting. Starting from January 2021 we lost the key specialists and the each team was affected.
Interessante Aufgaben
Some of them, mostly related to the cloud. Rest is: missing architecture concept, enormous lack of the documentation, poor inter-developers support.
For example you can work with some old Java code, refactor it, develop the tests and get it to the real world. And two days later on the scrum code becomes deprecated. Zero planning capabilities.
Another example - you work with the devops guys, asking them to change the infrastructure to support your code in better manner. They are working hard to wrap everything in infra-as-a-code concept, deploy it, you test your module against their changes and everything works great on dev and stg. And then your module is recognized by the other developers as duplicate and gets removed. But there was a user story behind and it was somehow approved! Both you and a devops guy feel like smashed in your faces. Just zero planning. Because of the missing team leads and nano-management style.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Parties during Corona lockdown involving employees and department management. Very irresponsible... The people who did not join were somehow under penalties later.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Gehalt is below market. No real raises for everyone except the favored people. You get 2-3% raise and it is advertised like a gold. Funny and sad.

Overall the image is good, never thought it would be such a mess....
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Just nothing. Senior guys are locked because of missing vertical (remember "holacracy") and to get promotion - it's impossible.
