Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Location of the office is great! Super convenient and with lots of options for lunch.

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Taledo has lost a lot of its employees and it does not want to learn from its mistakes.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Anyone who deals with managing other people needs a lot of additional training. Also, there should be a better screening system introduced when selecting and hiring new employees, especially when accessing their moral values.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

I have spent almost 2 years at Taledo and the working atmosphere was always on the lower end, sometimes it felt like a roller coaster. My manager was fair with me (or so I thought). I did not experience micromanagement with my manager, but I saw that it was not the same for every employee regardless their performance. Generally there was no trust among managers and especially peers, sometimes it backfired very badly and escalated minor misunderstandings to big conflicts.

Kommunikation

It was pretty clear and ambitious when I joined the company. I had very good understanding of goals and what every department / team was working on, it felt like we were in a real startup environment. Failures were communicated and I learned from this. Unfortunately, with the time this type of communication has vanished, while the ambition stayed. Often I did not know what exactly the company is working on, it wasn't always clear how I can contribute to it except for keep doing on what I was already doing - bringing revenue. Company failures were not communicated or presented in a completely different light, while even slight positive changes were presented as huge victories. No matter what was happening on the market - our product and management were doing "great"! Even if customers were complaining and we were clearly failing with numbers compared to many of our competitors. Eventually, the team also started adapting this culture and everyone's initial motivation and drive were lost. Communication between peers also became less clear and transparent, hierarchy was invented.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

I enjoyed working with my team a lot, this was one of the main reasons why I stayed at the company. I knew that I always can rely on them and both give and receive feedback. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same when I had to work cross-functionally with my peers from other teams. There were a lot of unnecessary backstabbing and conflicts created out of nowhere. Management supported and even nourished some of such team members without realizing that some of them tried to hide their poor performance behind starting these cases. We stopped celebrating each others accomplishments and it started to feel fake.

Work-Life-Balance

I am passionate about my job and I do not mind working extra hours. Generally, I was never asked to work extra hours and my manager as well as my team always acknowledged and appreciated my work and extra efforts.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

This is one of the most difficult parts of working at Taledo. It strongly depends on your relationship with your manager as well as your background. When conflict happens, a manager often puts the people in a meeting to fight with each other in front of the management. It often felt like being part of the incompetent trial process. I do not think that making employees fight with each other is a healthy way to manage a team or to promote cooperation and honesty. Some team members learnt how to work with each other and just avoid problems, but with hidden distrust and hatred.

Interessante Aufgaben

I personally liked my job and I was lucky with client and projects that I had to work on. I could always ask for extra tasks that were out of my initial responsibilities. I cannot say all of the team members had the same opportunity.

Gleichberechtigung

Generally, it seemed equal at first. However, later I have experienced a few situations when I was shamed for not speaking German fluently and was told several times that non-German speakers should leave the company. Also, there was a case when my female colleague was told to sit quietly and "just be pretty" on a call with a client.

Arbeitsbedingungen

I had the equipment that I needed for work, but not always the resources. Also, the technology we used was not great. My computer was clearly used by multiple people before and some things were not working properly.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

We had different kinds of healthy and vegetarian snacks / products, which is great. However, there was no garbage separation and most of the employees did not care about making a difference in the office.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Taledo is definitely not a company you go to when you want to make good money. However, the situation with salaries has improved a lot recently.

Competitors know Taledo very well, which is a good sign. While, the image of the company and its management is actually not good on the market / network.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

I would say that Taledo offers good career opportunities, however, the retention of the employees is not good enough to benefit from it properly.
