Flat hierarchies, direct approach, keeping the tech stack up-to-date.

Some tech decisions are hard to pass through, and professional arguments are often hard to settle.

I guess the company already knows to put more attention on communication to let the information flow keeping a healthy circulation. From tech perspective, the company could benefit paying more attention on resolving professional arguments and keeping debates within certain boundary that helps employees to focus more on the common goal and companionship.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

It's hard to evaluate the atmosphere in the times when lockdown occurred and isolation became common in general. I believe that Wagawin could have performed better when not the whole world was working against them.

Kommunikation

Same applies here. Communication suffered in general during the pandemic. Things getting worse after starting to work remotely cannot be attributed to the company nor perceived as a tendency. It just demands the extra effort that companies have to learn how to put in it.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

No complain about that. Companionship went beyond professional level in this company.

Work-Life-Balance

Wagawin provided an excellent work-life balance. They gave all the support to seamlessly move into home office or even remote work, giving their employees the opportunity to use the time spared on commuting, but also providing flexible working hours, and their readiness to reorganize any meetings to fit the needs of the participants.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

The management clearly had its own challenges facing some reorganization. That left its mark on the resolution of some issues, but once it became clear, they did their best to handle them with care.

Interessante Aufgaben

As an IT member, we always used the latest technologies paying attention to the upcoming technical opportunities and industry best practices. The codebase is continuously improved and the elimination of worn-out parts of code or stack is always negotiable.

Gleichberechtigung

The time I worked in the company, I had the luck to get acquainted with some strong women I can't respect enough. I interpreted this as a sign of welcoming company culture and general support.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

Companies tend to take their employees for granted. Unfortunately, there's nothing uncommon in it. I've seen some examples of internal development and career progressing opportunities lately, which can be an excellent basis for future improvements from this perspective.

During my time with the company, the company hardware park saw a considerable upgrade. Employee personal hardware preferences were asked, and choice was provided whenever possible.

The company encouraged its employees to take social responsibility and pay attention on environmental care by providing spare time dedicated on that and organizing various events.

The company offered a competitive salary.
