Arbeitsatmosphäre
Hostile, toxic, breeds depression. People show signs of sleep issues. Very high staff turnover. Company of +/- 40 employees needs two HR positions to keep up with all the hiring and firing.
Kommunikation
Two stars because of the sheer volume of communication. A lot is communicated and lots of emails are being sent out. Not very much is relevant information though and there is a clear lack of communication on the important topics. Rather coperate in tone and sometimes outright quirky.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
On the one hand people ski together, people climb together, people drink together. Therefore one bonus star. On the other hand lots of unresolved conflict, passive aggressive behavior and non-physcial violence. Mangement doesn´t confront these issues sufficiently.
Work-Life-Balance
Really depends on the department. In the order from poor WLB to VERY generous WLB.
Lower end WLB: Finance, Customer Service, Sales (inhouse & Sales Reps), Logistics, HR
Upper end WLB: Product department, Marketing, independent sales reps

Interessante Aufgaben
I would say in general yes but it also depends on the department. Customer Service, logistics, finance: This is all real work but you have the pleasure to do it in the context of cool outdoor products. Sales / Marketing / Product: Rather eccentric. A lot of work goes into seasonal campaigns with no real outcome or result.

Hard to say - There are no old colleagues. Median is in their 30s. Oldest is around 45.
Arbeitsbedingungen
It´s ok. Laptops and phones exist yet it´s nothing fancy and only gets replaced after many, many years or if it breaks.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
The customers want it, the employees want it and the entire industry demands it. Yet not a lot is getting done. But one bonus star because there is a lot of talk about it.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Depends. New hires get paid as little as possible. People desperately want to be associated with the brand Black Diamond and accept very low offers. People who were hired before Black Diamond moved to Innsbruck have a good salary (for Tyrol standards).

Talent from within is not developed and the staff turnover is very high. Follows the mantra: All employees can develop and have a career but not all employees can develop and have a career. One bonus star because it looks ok on your resume.
