the locations is not too big yet which is great as there is still a very good exchange across different functions.
Hilti scores typically good at great place to work - this is achieved through consistent investment in people a making the workplace bit by bit better.
Hilti provides unique options to develop personally within the function. But at the same time it is encouraged to also have a look into other areas also outside in the global Hilti world
a lot of freedom to shape own area of responsibility for a company of this size
Behandlung der Mitarbeiter*innen, Entwicklungs-/Aufstiegsmöglichkeiten, Fairness
Sehr freundlich, entgegenkommend & verständnisvoll
Sehr empatisch&verständnisvoll
Work Atmosphere is in general very good and the Company has a "family" vibe to it which you do not get everywhere. Also there are frequent Team Events and after work activities which you can join
Hilti has a very good image.
I like the possibility of Home Office. Time management is in your own hand and can be managed, There are core hours you need to be reachable, but other than that you are free to manage your hours.
There is a development plan mandatory for each employee, which is great to develop yourself. You can have trainings and are encouraged to work on things you want to develop in. The development system works great, it made me realize what I want to do, actually.
Pay can be better, especially in the high inflation times the pay increase was not fully covering the increase in cost for the employee. Benefits next to pay are generally very good.
Generally aware and responsible of social environment and environmental impact. Company supports great social programs where people are encouraged to spend time on. Also emphasizes on greener future.
In general very good team spirit. Some smaller (normal) topics between team members can of course happen anywhere.
No issues that I am aware of.
The Management is in general helpful and leaves freedom for the teams to operate on their own. Your direct superiors are usually very friendly and professional.
Work is rather remote in a rural area far away from Vienna. But the work conditions in the Office are good. Nintendo Switch in the common room, free coffee, free fruits included :)
There is an emphasis on open communication and the culture has a clear focus point on this topic. I like the open atmosphere and that I do not fear to say anything wrong. You are talking to everyone as peers, including upper management. Communication is mainly in english and german. Team is very diverse so speaking english is the standard.
Very diverse team with a good balance.
I am able to pick work that is interesting for me next to my daily business. We are encouraged to innovate and improve our work and daily business. Its not rocket science but you can have interesting and complex topics if you want. Also there is a development plan for each employee where you can also work on topic in which you want to develop yourself! I like that very much.
Hilti is still majority-owned by the family, and more interested in long-term success. Compared to other corporations, Hilti doesn't make reckless decisions for the sake of quarterly growth and shareholder satisfaction.
Everyone can proudly share that they work or have worked for Hilti.
Flexible home office opportunities based on trust. As long as the work gets done, it's also not strictly monitored whether someone is there during "core working hours", so they can take care of private needs. Overtime is expected when business is strong, but reducing it is also encouraged.
The employee development process is taken very seriously by all departments. Sadly due to the remote location of the Lanzenkirchen site, some talents are not as visible as they would be if they worked at the global headquarters. Many internal hiring decisions are still only possible because "someone knew the right person", not because talents are globally visible.
The Lanzenkirchen site houses corporate Hilti functions, but employees who have the same jobs at the global Hilti headquarters are paid significantly more for the same position, which causes some frustration.
Strong ramp-up of sustainability initiatives, but so far no business sacrifices have been made for the sake of sustainability. Lots of international employees also understandably move to Vienna, 60km from Lanzenkirchen, and the car is often the only viable option to get to the office.
The Lanzenkirchen site is split between two very distrinct business areas that don't interact much and don't have a strong emotional bond or feeling of togetherness. But communication is always open and everyone can be themselves.
Ageism might become an issue at some point, although right now the site is comparatively young on average.
Great clean and modern office environment, modern meeting rooms and silent boxes, good IT equipment, despite the age of the office.
Business updates from all sorts of Hilti functions are regularly provided and available to everyone. There's enough transparency on what and how the company is doing, and why some decisions are made.
Lots of well-deserving women in management positions. Some male-dominated departments need to be challenged more on how they talk over women in meetings.
The company is regularly undergoing strategic improvements, changes, restructurings; people are developed into different positions - so tasks will always remain interesting. Employees are expected to be open to and drive change and improvement.
Amazing and open atmosphere with international environment, focus on results and caring attitude
Having experience in Hilti can leverage a career in any other place
Good work life balance, although sometimes ambitions targets can put pressure. Yet successes are recognized and it's worth to invest time to achieve results
A lot of opportunities to receive trainings and learn from colleagues
Highly professional and very motivated team
The leadership of the company always keeps employees update on any changes and is ALWAYS open to hear feedback
Good social package
It would be great to have either an office canteen where employees could eat healthy warm food or an employee discount at the nearby restaurant.
A great working atmosphere, diverse benefits, and opportunities for further training are some of the things that make this place great.
Very friendly
Home-Office possibility and flexible working time are great way to achieve Work-Life-Balance
Interesting projects at the location raise awareness for the environment, and social projects are promoted by the company
Friendly and very supportive
Trust-based relationship and is always supportive
Straightforward communication, even from management, with clear updates
