Many good people take care of everything while technical experts sit in management and most cannot lead

my former colleagues, the variety of tasks and the many possible freedoms. Unfortunately, this is double-edged because many do less or nothing and nothing changes in the long run.
The traffic connection is ok and there is good food in the TU canteen. Neither are the KC's merits, and unfortunately that is the case with many great things.
I think the KC has enormous potential, nice people and is a good experience. Unfortunately, you have to be very capable of suffering in some situations, you have to know the right people or pull the emergency brake at the right moment for you.
I would and did recommend the KC to friends and former collegues who are hopefully not mad at me now. Its an experience and might change for the better but it needs a change in heart and management.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
the enthusiasm of young employees is exploited and burned while long-established employees and their friends and family get good salaries and look after their own careers and reputation. Few people really think of the KC as a company and the long time effects and unfortunately that wears down quickly

Technical experts should be used as experts and not as management or directors. Personnel from the TU should stay at the TU and the KC must finally become a company and not another institute of the TU

often good within the teams, unfortunately mostly bad or missing for the whole company and management is rarely available.

communication is used to distribute work. some departments and people have to take care of a lot and share and collect information and are left alone with it. Instead of real workshops, there are many meetings to create the appearance of communication while nothing really changes.

that depends on what position you are in. Basically very good for everyone. Some departments have deadlines or suffer under the poor time management of others. With other colleagues, the whole company is wondering what they actually do all day.

few people have real management skills. Most of them are university experts with little understanding of the company, finances, product development, business development, human resources, and leadership. Fortunately for KC there are people in the background who take care of everything and suffer for the company.
Interessante Aufgaben
that depends on what position you are in. the main task of all employees is to raise as much money as possible for the researchers, not research itself, in all possible ways. Much of it only happens through contacts, tricks and the bending of rules. If you are lucky you can really work and research on something exciting. If you are unlucky you have to write a PHD that nobody supports but that is well paid for KC or you work as a cash cow for customer projects so that others can have an easy life. The poorest are probably the people in the back office and sales because they have to do everything for ungrateful researchers

basically very good! it feels like 90% work part-time, so KC supports all situations in life. The work remains regardless of gender with those who work fully or cannot say no
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
older colleagues have found their place and are well paid and often prevent changes and improvements. it is the young colleagues KC has to be concerned about
Arbeitsbedingungen
that depends on what position you are in. I heard that even a year after the crisis it is still forbidden to take armchairs, screens and telephones from the company to the home office. As far as I know, there is still no compensation for those who give everything in the home office. The on-site offices are usually too small and impersonal, unless you are management. But that is supposed to change with the move in the next few years which probably means better offices for all and much better offices for the management
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
does not exist or concern anybody
many have been working at home for more than a year because the rooms are too small and there are no useful covid measures. allegedly there will soon (after a year!) be company telephones so that they no longer have to use their private telephones. First of all, however, it had to be worked out how the employees and their rights were to be kept small. The focus was on introducing teleworking instead of a real home office. do I have to say more?
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
that depends on what position you are in. the management surely earns above average compared to the rest and gets better bonuses and everything added in addition. Many also work at the university and earn at both jobs, and some actually work accordingly. others mainly work for themselves and get paid here and there. Most employees earn ok, but you should never ask your colleagues what they earn, because with many you just wonder why they get so much more or less

some omnipresent luminaries deserve their reputation and some not at all. The KC is good at some things and not at all others. many successes seem good at first glance, but actually have no long-term effect and do not fit into the strategy. Most of the time, the fame does not end up with those who work for it in the background, but with a few who out call the loudest or know the right people.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
bad management remains while good people in their teams give up again and again and look for other companies. Apparently there will soon be trainings for everyone. This will probably not change anything and unfortunately that has often been promised
