Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

innovative spirit

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Overdoing current political DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) agenda, clumsily pushed by HR. Such hardly anybody buys if you ask around despite internal brainwashing efforts. Actually annoys and makes a big dis-service to minorities as they are depicted as a groups needed special treatment. Already inviting drug-queens (!) to the internal events, creating employees groups by DAI topics (shouldn't diversity unite rather than segregate people ? ), art exhibitions from special artists (no one seems to be coming so they had to start offering free coffee), pride month (30 days) with raising flags ceremony and feigned enthusiasm of top-managers (however, no flags for intl day of mother (1 day), children (1 day) , family(1 day) even Austrian national day etc. ). All in all, total disconnect with what is no the minds of 97% of the workforce. At least, Betriebsrat is doing concrete useful support and is very relevant. There are HRs whose titles assume DEI is there sole responsibility. All that at the time when CEO talks about cost-income ratio and blow from loosing core markets. So you get the idea.

Talent Acquisition & People Strategy

Dear colleague,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

We understand from your comment that you have closely followed our DEI efforts and have concerns about our focus and strategy, including employee resource groups and celebration days.

For the sake of transparency, we would like to explain our approach: RBI AG is an international company that employs people from different nationalities, ages, genders, sexual orientations, etc. We are proud of our diverse workforce and we want to create an inclusive space for everyone to collaborate to achieve our mission and vision. A respectful and inclusive environment fosters the innovative spirit that you have recognized as a positive aspect of RBI AG.

There are many ways to create an inclusive environment and Group People, Culture & Organisation (Group PC&O) focuses its efforts on complying with best practices and legal requirements offering visibility, awareness campaigns, trainings and processes improvement. We also support employee-led groups that focus on specific topics as many of our DEI initiatives are driven by requests from our employees and DEI is a shared responsibility across the organization.

In November, DEI topics received more attention due to the exhibition "Path of Diversity" at Stadtpark - a communications campaign was launched to invite employees to engage with the topic. Similar approaches are taken with topics such as Compliance Awareness and Artificial Intelligence.

If you are interested in the topic of parenting, which is also covered by our DEI efforts, please note that RBI AG has been twice certified as a family-friendly employer (by Familie & Beruf Management GmbH). We offer flexible working environment and contracts for parents (not just mothers) and are continually working on measures to be an even more family-friendly employer.

Thank you for mentioning the great work of our colleagues in the Staff Council, who we collaborate with in many projects.

The Group PC&O would like to invite you to a confidential conversation to better understand and address your concerns. If you are interested in participating, please reach out to your contact in Group PC&O or directly to myself. We are looking forward to continue the conversation!

Kind regards,
Nina Diglas
People Strategy Partner
