Shockingly superficial and clueless management that rule like medieval royals. Smog screens and hypocrisy everywhere.
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Most good things are being damaged now.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
See most input above.
Unfortunately.
Nobody likes to write such reference, people actually want to be proud and passionate about their employer.
No innovation takes place anymore.
Not in the company's offering, not in the workplace.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Most people have given up on management and on the hope to give advice or ideas. If they haven't listened thus far, why would they now?
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Stressed-out employees live in constant fear to be axed. Many great people leave as they are buried in 4-5 full time jobs worth of work.
Constant resource reduction for years by simultaneously adding tasks and projects onto the pile. Management is not interested to entertain resource considerations. Currently it looks like HQ will be drastically reduced and everything is offshored that does not directly support top management.
Kommunikation
Some technical improvement with virtual town halls and a tad more transparency, also by improved content. Management meetings are dishonest theater shows that cost fortunes while simple tasks and also some critical projects are not supported due to cost control.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
It suffers in this atmosphere of fear. People keep their heads down. Every single employee seems to search for a way out. Private discussions are tainted by massive frustration.
Work-Life-Balance
In many departments line management keeps quiet during after hours and weekends which is good. Working from home rule: 1.5 days/week. People don't care though, it's not enforced.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Middle to upper management have evolved (or were hired to fit accordingly) to exclusively execute what they are told. There is no challenge, no fruitful collaborative struggle for better and common ideas and solutions. Top management word is law. Period. "Hire paid opinion" is the only rule and management behavior here.
Interessante Aufgaben
Could be interesting if people were not buried that much under way too many tasks from positions that were cut, not replaced and/or ridiculously understaffed to begin with. It's the story of the lumberjack that is given no time and opportunity to sharpen the axe. Also, there is a lot of management arrogance towards experienced staff. They are not invited to strategize or conceptualize (also there is never time for it) and if someone takes extra effort there ideas are ignored.
Gleichberechtigung
I am not aware of any inequality.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
Older, experienced people are strategically replaced by younger, much cheaper staff or the job is offshored altogether. Process and collaboration, quality and strategic evolution within functions are severely scathed this way.
Arbeitsbedingungen
Modern offices and equipment. No training on tools, modern workplace opportunities are missed because the digital workplace does not modernize the way to collaborate and create value. A lot of efficiency is lost this way. Colleagues who have demanded maximizing new workplace options are notoriously ignored. There is simply never any time to improve anything. It's just only operational, reactive, firefighting anymore.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Environmental impact is measured and also communicated. Office infrastructure is adjusted to evolving ecological standards. Social impact on all the medieval rule and atmosphere of fear: nobody cares.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Good for traditional industry but it changes with more stringent cost control. People are being told to accept lower salary and then they might stay. Newcomers make a lot less. It's a business decision really. If it works economically, so be it. But don't expect a healthy salary increase over time. Pressure on all jobs will remain high on the salary front and via outsourcing/offshoring.
Image
Smog screen. Lots of the reputable deliverables come from people that work massive hours way beyond their contract. Projects that deliver really well and can compare with much larger companies are only possible because people violate their own contracts and rights. Many leave in frustration. The image is being upheld by window dressing.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
If you are lucky, your manager is interested in developing you. Mostly thought there is no appetite to bear the cost.
