friendly people all around
was a very valuable experience on my CV
enough time to enjoy life besides work
education is valued above all else. Advancing on the ladder is tough given the small size and flat hierarchy
they pay a fair salary relative to the company size
no paper is used in the entire company
loved to meet my colleagues outside of work
age doesen't matter
mutual respect is given. Management has an open-door policy
Computers could be newer
overcommunication on many occasions
everybody is equal within the team
The stuff you learn there is extremely valuable. The role was exciting and rewarding.
It was a great working environment. The team spirit was really positive.
Onedot is a leading AI-startup with a lot of potential and success stories from their clients.
I could work flexible ours. Due to the workload it could happen that you stay longer.
The education of employees was encouraged. There were some of the employees who could work part-time and study besides work.
I would recommend to also include a variable component in the salary.
The team was working with each other well. Every new employee was welcomed to the team and we had great team lunches and events.
The treatment with older colleagues was always on the same level.
The management treated me always fair. They were always open for questions. The hierarchies were flat and it didn‘t make the impression that there were any politics.
The office had good infrastructure, coffee, fruit and snacks.
The communication was open and direct, which I enjoyed.
It was a really multi-cultural and diverse team with all kinds of backgrounds.
The tasks were always acceptable. Nevertheless, the less interesting work needed also to get done.
- integrating and maintaining newest technologies
- approaching complex problems
Sometimes workload is not properly planned, but Onedot team is constantly improving on that.
Clearer communication about educational opportunities and/or budget would help to better align personal growth expectations with company’s vision.
Good communication, empathy and very high professionalism.
Great atmosphere and lovely people to get to know better.
Onedot is very well known in Swiss IT market and definetely puts a plus on your career.
One of the best places I've worked at in my experience. They allow remote work which for a dev is essential nowadays.
Progression happens very fast, as far as you can show results the employers are happy to discuss a full contract.
I was able to easily integrate with the team and have interesting discussions with high qualified professionals.
Some tasks required complex abstract conversations with senior devs, this comes with no surprise as Onedot is shaping a new future for data management. No regrets an I can confirm that during these processes I was fully helped by other memebers of the team.
I have no complaints in regards to my employers, they have done so much for me both professionally and personally to allow integrating and offering a one in a lifetime opportunity.
I enjoyed working here and the working conditions were aligned with my expectations.
Communication is always a tough point in the IT sector. Onedot does a great job at finding the right balance.
The community at onedot is very diversified, people from different extractions and countries have found a fair company to work at.
The challenges I faced on the codebase have allowed growing my knowledge in a very short period of time. I really enjoyed every step and was able to fully cover full round the job of a frontend developer.
The team is amazing and very smart. I had a great time and learned a lot in the process.
The companies' challenge is quite a big one. It always pushes you to learn more and think outside of the box towards problem-solving.
Onedot is open to trying new things, lowest bureaucracy I've ever seen and very transparent leadership. As an employee, you have easy access from accounting to marketing plans.
The office infrastructure could be better. There still some work to be done in terms of fine-tuning responsibility for some positions to keep a balanced workload across the company.
It's organized and everyone has clear goals to achieve. The social atmosphere is very smooth and people are generally very nice. Of course, they are stressful days too.
They also steer all employees away from sickness with vitamins, fruits, and healthy snacks.
Onedot is re-inventing and even creating new positions in the industry. Sometimes, this process makes it hard to align the expectation with reality.
Here it depends on the area you work in.
For front-end developers, you can expect a bigger possibility to do home office and work normal business hours.
If you work on the delivery team you are going to do a lot of over hours and have bigger pressure.
The salaries are great for a startup, but you can't compare with big companies from Switzerland. Always paid on time!
The team is very multi-cultural. Some cultures are more open other not. I felt very welcome!
They are great. Very knowledgeable and willing to hear other perspectives.
The office isn't the greatest, in summer it can be really hot and I personally don't like a carpet all over the floor.
Computers, screens, tables, etc, it's great. And if you need something you can just ask them.
The communication is well defined. The company follows a lot of guidelines from the book "Scaling up", in terms of defining what it needs to be done and how it needs to be communicated.
There is some friction between customer, sales, and engineering which generates some back-and-forth or ambiguity in comm. Regardless of that It's perfect.
They even push women in tech.
You definitely have room to try new things.
You can also get involved with other areas of your interest and take responsibilities there.
The team was amazing. Everybody there is very smart. It was a pleasure to work with such a talented team.
Moreover, the challenges faced by the company are hard and you are intellectually challenged almost every week.
The office location is not the best one. Being Schlieren outside of Zurich and in a kind of industrial area there were almost no afterwork drinks. Which is something that helps to keep a cohesive and happy team.
During my time there I learned and became comfortable with Scala.
So verdient kununu Geld.
