Family spirit, diverse and supportive colleagues, predominantly fair and competent management, taking care of each other, celebrating together, friendships beyond work....the projects, client team, ever changing, interesting and educative work, great feedback culture, compensation and benefits...there are so many great things
Unclear, sometimes rapidly changing communication; no promotions from within; no model for home office
Recognize long-standing employees and managers for their performance. Start promoting from within.
Strong culture of collaboration and support between colleagues. Family atmosphere with low or inexistent hierarchy. Dedicated colleagues who truly support each other. Have enjoyed coming to work every day.
Some false allegations and constructed stories from the local media have intentionally and repeatedly tried to damage the image. As an expat, I hear similar things about the US and US leadership repeatedly and such fake news are probably due to the predominant, American hating atmosphere in Switzerland.
Small company with many diverse projects. So each tem member carries more than just core job responsibilities. Projects are challenging and rapidly changing so you are automatically drawn to learning more and working more.
There is not much time allocated to training or career advancement. The does not have the critical size to allow people to change functions. Very few internal career ascension paths. Big downside: only external people promoted to leadership team. These externals come and go; they do not know the culture, have no clue about the true decison pathways and think they can operate their standard big-corp attitude which fails at Rising Tide. This creates even fewer career progression and lots of unrest within the long-standing senior employees or managers. Lots to improve here. However: 3 stars as the projects are so diverse and educative that they provide you with entirely new skill sets to progress outside of Rising Tide.

Strong commitment to philathropy, support of research and economic improvement for disadvantaged groups of people around the globe. The company is set up as a foundation so all profits are transferred to the philathropic arm and NOT into the pockets of shareholders or senior managers. This ifor me was a very worthwhile purpose to work for.
Strong spirit of support and collaboration. You enter a diverse and commited group that makes you a part of their "family spirit". Here, friendships grow beyond just the work-place.
For functions that are retained, senior and older colleagues are much appreciated and valued. For functions that are no more, there is fair recognition to older colleagues' tenure but no opportunities to move to different functions due to small size of company.
Managers and executives range from complete, condescending incopetence (one case) to supportive, understanding, empowering, open-door (most cases and my case). It depends whom you are assigned to.
Beautiful offices in a beautiful location. Nicest place I have ever worked in.
This is an owner-led company so communication may change rapidly or come in bits and pieces. Leadership takes care and time to explain rationale for decisions and changes as well as providing background about changes in client needs.
When I joined all managers but one were male; leadership has done a lot to improve this. Today we are a diverse team with visible and palpable equality. One exception: this is a family company so ownership opinion always tops anything else.
Very challenging, interesting and diverse global projects. You learn and grow so much on the job and you have ample opportunities to expand your core responsibilities as you work in different projects and for different client teams.

Keine Karrieremögkichkeiten. Ist auch unerwünscht. Lieber ersetzen sie die Person.
Jeder schaut für sich. Unkollegialität wird ignoriert und oft muss dann das Opfer gehen.
Hatte Glück mit meinem Vorgesetzten. Er hat sich immer korrekt und fair verhalten.

Meine Arbeit war nicht fordernd im Vergleich zum selben Job in einem anderen Unternehmen.

Unable to implement results
Develop management skills
Trust is a big issue in this company. They are always looking for business experts but never let them take ownership or decisions. Micromanagement and veeery long decision making processes make them a heavy organization that is never moving forward. Strange talent management, ridiculous goal setting. Goals are repeating themselves, results never lead to anything. They promote being a big family but this is only to hide that they expect you to work around the clock and never ask questions. Money is their only interest, people don't matter
You either make this your new family & life or you die!
Don't belief in this 'social foundation humanitarian' blahblah! It's just lip services. Money and making more of it is the one and only motivation there. Even when funding projects with the foundation many projects only serve the bigger organization or even contradict the foundation's purposes.
Transparency is a big issue in this company and results in an organization where the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. They are always looking for best business practices but are unable or unwilling to really use it.
As they know how to celebrate and lost people tend to cuddle together, they really believe in beeing a team or a big family.
As said before: goal setting is a real joke. Same goals are set for various people but they don't know of each other. Managers are just not able to synchronize projects over the organization. Goals repeat themselves as results are never used for anything.
Micromanagement is a standard, they spend weeks to justify small amounts of money but manage large investment projects with the professionality of a toddler.
Very nice location! Just expect to pay most of your time there! No home office, no real flex time. You are expected to dedicate your whole life to them.
Company is reluctant to adapt new technology, management is way behind to use digital media appropriately.
Communication here is reduced to repeating the same 'core values' over and over again which dorsn't make them more true. Staff is alwys asking for more transparency and management cannot deliver.
Even if it is a kind of artificial environment (real business results don't matter, royalties come anyway), you can work on interesting projects. Just never expect your work results to be implemented. See it more as a business research or 'what if' work experience. And expect the same projects to return periodically as results are never put into action.

Would definitely not advise anyone to work here. Hire & fire mentality...here today, gone tomorrow. No compassion for its employees, company has no values when it comes to their most important thing, their human capital. I'm wondering when I'll be the next one out???!!

Management Team still has a long way to go. Much room for improvement. Management in this company is a big joke, cannot be taken seriously. In fact: there are a number of Snr & Jnr managers, but they cannot make decisions, only the Owner can (welcome to a family office), the rest are just puppets on a string, hence my comment....they're a joke
