Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

I appreciate the support you get from some team members. There are cool events two or three times a year. Also the office in Hamburg is really nice and is used 2-3 times a year to host events. I do appreciate the desk setup each employee in Hamburg receives as well as the option to choose if you like to work with a Macbook or not.

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

- In my experience, there has been little appreciation of the employees.
- I perceived the management as not very competent.
- I have noticed a high employee turnover, which might reflect some underlying issues within the company.
- At times, I experienced situations where the manner of the CEOs seemed negative and condescending.
- There were times when managers spoke negatively about employees, which I found unpleasant.
- There seems to be an increased focus on sales and turnover, which In my view has led to the acceptance of inferior campaign performance.
- From my perspective, strategies have lost some of their meaningfulness due to an increased focus on profitable channels.
- I would have liked more support from the HR department.
- In my experience, the work seemed the same regardless of seniority in title.
- I often experienced a lot of finger-pointing, which I found unproductive.
- In my experience, there were multiple situations where employees felt under pressure.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

It would certainly help if competent leadership was introduced.
In addition, adlicious should be clear about what it wants to be as a company and what its USP is. I have the impression that we are offering a broad range of services, while our core expertise seems to lie in only a few areas. It always makes sense to focus on 2-3 focus topics and to be experts in them.
A stronger focus on specific expertise could help build long-term client relationships.
In addition, more emphasis should be placed on retaining employees. I sometimes have the feeling that long-term employees may not be valued as much as they could be, as hiring trainees or working students can be a more cost-effective option for the company.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

The atmosphere within the team is generally very harmonious. However, due to multiple reorganizations, teams have been repeatedly reshuffled. In my experience, some employees have been promoted to management positions despite seeming to lack the necessary qualifications and skills, which has impacted the working atmosphere.
The leadership style felt intimidating at times. In my perception, certain remarks by the CEOs have contributed to a sense of uncertainty. There have been instances where disciplinary matters were discussed in a broader team setting, which I found unsettling.

Kommunikation

Efficient and effective communication could be improved in many areas of the company. In my experience, little information is shared about the company’s development (this seems to get better but is still not sufficient in my opinion).
From my perspective, changes to bonus systems have not always been communicated transparently. To my knowledge, one such system was discontinued, and another is currently being introduced. I have noticed that some colleagues, including myself, have felt uncertain or found it difficult to build trust in the company.
When raising concerns with HR, I personally have not noticed significant improvements and did not feel fully heard or understood.
There is a strong focus on addressing challenges and problems, while positive developments seem to receive less attention. From my perspective, this is particularly evident in the communication style of the CEOs.
In my experience, promises made by supervisors were not always followed through, and at times, I had the impression that they were forgotten. I have personally experienced having to follow up multiple times on various topics to receive a response.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

The cohesion among most colleagues is very positive. It sometimes seems as if shared challenges at work contribute to a strong sense of solidarity.

Work-Life-Balance

An appropriate work-life balance can be maintained through flexible working (3-4 times a week home office) and the possibility of workation. However, weekend work and overtime can occur, and in my experience, they are not always compensated or recognized. The amount of overtime varies depending on the department. From what I have observed, Campaign Managers appear to work on weekends more frequently and seem to be more affected by overtime than other roles.

Interessante Aufgaben

The tasks are mostly interesting. However, since the last restructuring, there has been a stronger focus on sales and revenue growth. In my view, this has made the work feel more target-driven, which can sometimes make the tasks less engaging. Campaign performance could potentially improve with a more balanced focus beyond just revenue goals. Some of the work is repetitive, but that is, of course, part of the job. Basically, the tasks are fun.

Gleichberechtigung

As there are significantly more female employees than male employees and the areas of work and responsibility do not differ greatly, I would give 5 stars here. Another positive aspect is that there is currently a strong focus on performance- and title-based salary adjustments. In the past, I sometimes had the impression that personal relationships between employees and their superiors may have played a role in salary increases, but this seems to be changing. So praise here.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

There are not really any older colleagues, but the interaction between all colleagues (including the older ones) is consistently somewhat positive and also mostly respectful.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Employees in Hamburg receive standard social benefits, and salaries are at a somewhat acceptable level. From what I have heard (as of mid Feb 2025), salaries in South Africa appear to be lower in comparison, vacation days are fewer than in Hamburg, and employees are responsible for their own social benefits, which to a certain extend is to be expected but seems to me a little regressive. Salary increases in recent performance reviews were minimal. Employees need to take the initiative to bring up this topic themselves and follow up regularly, as it is not always proactively addressed.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

Unfortunately, there are few opportunities for advancement here. The criteria for title promotions do not always seem to be clearly communicated to employees. There are occasional training courses, but I have the impression that their frequency has decreased.
