The gym, the office, some of the team
To be honest this list is too long.
- no room for growth
- don't like people to have opinions
- management use personal feelings when dealing with employees
- a lot of smoke and mirrors, lure you in with false promises, so you accept the lower pay and then don't deliver
- if you pass probation you're still not safe, if you voice an opinion that differs from management, don’t expect to be there long.
Change your management, change the style of management, change the way you speak to people, have some understanding and empathy. Also if someone is doing something with their personal life maybe don’t laugh out loud at it
Generally team were good
Image is amazing on social media but like with most of social media it’s fake
You’re expected to work over your hours, attend “optional” events outside of working hours and if you don’t you’re questioned harshly
All I can say to this is, HA! Promised it all, no follow through from management
Awful salary, social events are there to join but only with colleagues
Only for one of my colleagues pushed for recycling last years, everything went in the same bin
Not a lot of them
All I can say to this is, when I first joined I had one of the most loveliest managers I’ve ever had, when she left everything when downhill. The stand in “supervisor” had control issues, issues with me personally, issues with my choices outside of work, hired someone totally unqualified.
Office is lovely
Company talks a lot about communication but doesn’t action it
One woman manager in over 250 employees
Some tasks were very repetitive and some were fun
very friendly and helpful colleagues
according to core value #BEDIRECT
I have been working at Applike for almost 3 months now, and it has been a wonderful experience that exceeded my expectations. The company has assisted me with relocation every step of the way, provided a detailed onboarding process, and helped me quickly immerse myself in the context and tasks. Within just 2 weeks, I was able to start working independently and deliver positive results.
Communication within the team is very comfortable, employees are motivated to work, and it is evident that they enjoy not only working together but also socializing, spending time after work, and playing games in the office.
I also cannot fail to mention the numerous pleasant perks and bonuses that the company provides - a gym, unlimited coffee and cold drinks, fruits, and sweets. All of these make Applike an amazing employer.
Many smart colleagues who enjoy sharing their knowledge, great teamwork, regular team events, challenging tasks, opportunities for personal growth
It's not a 9-to-5 job; however, I never felt overwhelmed or that it was unmanageable
many opportunities to develop on the job, contribute new ideas and demonstrate your skills
There is no "we've-always-done-it-this-way" culture
room for improvement
The colleagues here are amazing! The regular team events, company lunches, and after-work gatherings make it easy to feel very comfortable and build good relationships with colleagues.
not many older colleagues
very nice office building, fresh fruits, breakfast, regular company lunches, gym, modern equipment
Absolutely! There are always new challenges and tasks coming up, so it never gets boring.
Team Spirit, Team events, lovely people that work there
Take issues serious and change them
The colleagues are a big plus, but from the management the environment is defined by missing trusting, pressure and micro management
Pressure to work long hours and be reachable 24/7
The fixed office days don't have a good reason, it is from my perspective just a trust issue
No flexibility in working hours and combining family or other things with work
Great supportive colleagues
Feels like the target is young people who don't care that much about work life balance and professionalism
Direct leads are mostly great, the management lacks good leadership qualities
There are benefits but they don't really provide the environment that is needed for healthy employees
Quite transparent and direct
You can't see it at first glance but there are sexism issues and other things mostly from management. Women have to be "tough and powerful" to get further on the career path, empathy and caring is not appreciated, "everyone should just do what they are payed for", belittling language
There are mostly white males in lead positions
Super international team (50+ nationalities), great learning opportunities, performance culture, amazing offices including a real 5-star company gym.
If the company continues growing like in the past, more and more structure will be needed. It will be important to keep the startup day 1 culture. But I know how much the CEOs are focusing on this.
Soon everyone will hopefully now us. :)
It's not a 9 to 5 environment but extra miles are usually being seen and rewarded by management
If you're really motivated and open for a challenge, you can learn so much here in such small time. Company just implemented job-descriptions, career paths and development conversations for everyone. My discussion with my leads was really inspiring and motivating.
The company has worked a lot on this topic also with external benchmarks. So I think I am being paid fairly also depending on my performance.
not the biggest focus yet.
not really a topic as average age is very low.
good, but of course there's always something to improve :)
I've never worked in such an outstanding, worry-free work environment. It's definitely comparable to Google in Hamburg.
Because of the high speed, sometimes communication can get missing. But the company is working on it.
I feel that I am learning things 3x faster than in other companies I've worked for previously. Loving it!
Efficiency! I love that we have no time for bull**it!
Good working atmosphere - amazing office!
Motivation, everyone sees the potential of going really big!
Great well-being benefits! We have EVP, Gym access, regular BJJ, yoga and other classes.
Diversity! Very diverse team and we all work great together.
Challenging tasks and responsibilities. This plays a big part in my job satisfaction so if you're not up for a challenge and push yourself, you shouldn't join.
Before making a decision, leadership doesn't think it through thoroughly, more act fast than act right.
Efficiency is good but sometimes people can be mean.
More flexibility and empathy, people make mistakes and that should be fine. I think people here are afraid to make even the tiniest mistake.
You feel like your voice can be heard
Not very hierarchical
Good company benefits
Importance is given to events that increase team cohesion
Leadership can sometimes brag about “positive aspects” of the company such as diversity, enabling employees to take care of their mental and physical health, work flexibility, etc… However, in practise the bare minimum is being done/achieved so it’s not an accurate reflection of reality.
Diversify candidates for hiring more skilled people from different places
Acknowledgement of current issues and expressing the stance of the company leadership
Listening more attentively to employees about their needs and what they think is important instead of always focusing on big-impact-things to the detriment of the “smaller things” that decrease employee satisfaction or morale
Could be improved by making work-from-home and remote work policies more flexible; having fixed days doesn’t seem necessary
Current environmental and (especially) social issues are either not spoken about or ignored completely
Not many older colleagues, most seem to keep to themselves or colleagues of similar ages
Not many women in senior management; the company flaunts “diversity” and this is true when looking at multiple nationalities, however not very ethnically diverse especially as seniority increases
Really nice office, smart people, mostly interesting assignments
c level behaviour and communication, bad and unflexible remote work options, hire and fire mentality
listen to your people, involve them more in decisions
stop the way how you currently communicate
delegate
get people onboard who actually want to work with people
hugely impacted by the people around you, thats why still 3 stars. c level management does not seem to be interested to create a good work environment. ruled by pressure, often unrealistic goals. dont trust the listed benefits (e.g. pingpong, foosball), as strict rules apply when its allowed to use them
mostly empty promises to keep you motivated, no real structured career plans
just read the other comments here. they are true.
company (which includes the 4 companies within the applike group) is ruled by pressure and fear, people are afraid to speak up. those who do and try to improve things, are cut down.
no empathy... not accepting any other opinions.
decisions are taken for all 4 companies of the group that make no sense for all companies because people and tasks are different.
micromanaging
rude
generally distrusting every single employee
harsh, intransparent, sometimes deliberately false and offensive communication. trying to live "be open" as a value however saying something different to management's opinion is not tolerated
few women in leading positions
if you are "friends" with management, good for you
one of the few positive things
They make it very easy to leave and move on to something better. Worse is not really possible
Work atmosphere and toxic management
Change some of the Upper Management
Due to micromanagement, this often leads to a lot of stress.
Since these overtime hours are voluntary, they are not compensated
very unprofessional unfortunately
incomprehensible and non-constructive feedback, which is not explained in spite of being asked what this feedback is based on, not even examples can be given
So verdient kununu Geld.
