Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
the team was okay
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
poor working conditions heavy workload and unrealistic expectations lack of work-life balance inadequate communication from management disrespectful behavior from management, including shouting at employees inadequate wage for the level of work performed lack of transparency and communication
Arbeitsatmosphäre
The office environment was subpar, with cramped work-spaces and outdated facilities. There was a noticeable lack of investment in employee comfort and well-being, evident in the uncomfortable work spaces, dark, windowless rooms and inadequate ventilation. In addition to the aforementioned issues, one particularly aggravating aspect of working at this company was the presence of the boss's dog, which added an extra layer of frustration to an already challenging environment. In my opinion, the dog was a constant source of disruption in the workplace. Its incessant barking, tendency to roam freely around the office and occasional accidents (eating employees' food and peeing on my backpack) contributed to the overall sense of discomfort. Little was done to address this issue, leaving many of us resentful towards the management. In my personal experience the HR lady was another significant contributor to the overall dissatisfaction with the working condition. From frequent payroll errors to a general disregard for labor laws, her incompetence was very frustrating. Moreover, her disrespectful demeanor towards employees left a lasting negative impression.
Image
From my personal experience, the internal image of the company was undeniably tarnished. The poor treatment of employees, including low wages, inadequate working conditions and disrespectful behavior from management were the main issues. Employees felt undervalued and unappreciated.
Work-Life-Balance
In my opinion, the work-life balance was incredibly poor and it took a significant toll on my well-being. The relentless demands of the job left me feeling drained and burnt out, with little energy to pursue hobbies or focus on University. Despite my best efforts to establish boundaries and prioritize self-care, it seemed like there was always more work to be done, leaving me feeling perpetually stressed and exhausted. In my opinion, achieving a healthy work-life balance should be a fundamental priority for any company, but unfortunately they fell short in this regard.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
From my personal perspective, the wage I received was simply inadequate for the work I was expected to do. Being paid minimum wage made it difficult to make ends meet, let alone feel valued for the time and effort I put into my job. Considering the demanding workload and long hours required of me, the minimum wage felt like a slap in the face. It didn't reflect the level of skill and dedication required to perform my duties effectively. Moreover, the disparity between the minimum wage I was paid and the profits generated by the company felt particularly unjust. It seemed like the company prioritized maximizing profits over fairly compensating its employees for their contributions. In my opinion, being paid minimum wage for the work I did was not only unfair but also unsustainable. It undermined my sense of worth and made it difficult for me to feel motivated or fulfilled in my role.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Despite the challenges I faced at this company, I must say that the team I worked with was one of the few bright spots in an otherwise difficult environment. While we all struggled with the same issues regarding communication, workload and lack of support from management, the colleagues were supportive, understanding and helped navigating the challenges of working at this company.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
I often felt belittled and undermined by the boss's behavior, which eroded my confidence and morale over time. His lack of empathy and understanding made it difficult to approach them with concerns or feedback. From my personal view, one of the most distressing aspects of working there was my boss's tendency to shout at us out of nowhere. It created a highly stressful and uncomfortable atmosphere in the workplace, leaving me and my colleagues constantly on edge and anxious about when the next outburst would occur. These sudden eruptions of anger felt disproportionate and unwarranted, often leaving us demoralized and humiliated in front of our peers. In my opinion, shouting at employees is not only unprofessional but also deeply damaging to morale and productivity.
Arbeitsbedingungen
From my personal experience, the working conditions were simply dismal. It often felt like we were working in a dungeon rather than a modern workplace. The lack of investment in basic amenities and comfort made the workday feel like a never-ending struggle just to stay comfortable and focused. The workload was overwhelming, with unrealistic expectations and tight deadlines looming over us constantly. Furthermore, there was a pervasive sense of disorganization and chaos, with no clear direction or guidance from the management.
Kommunikation
From my personal perspective, the communication was a constant source of frustration and confusion. Important information regarding projects, deadlines and company policies often felt unclear and insufficiently communicated. It seemed like there was a constant lack of transparency from management, leaving us in the dark about crucial aspects of our work. Emails were frequently ignored or overlooked.
Gleichberechtigung
From my personal perspective, it was painfully evident that English-speaking employees, including myself, were often treated with less respect by the management than our German counterparts. There seemed to be a clear bias towards German employees, even though the boss often shouted at them as well. There was a noticeable difference in how feedback and criticism were delivered. English-speaking employees often received even more harsh and more critical feedback compared to the German employees.
