Order a good coach for your company

Here's why:
1. The company and what it does was not introduced
2. The team lead didn't appear to the interview and I've got no apology for this, two other colleagues appeared instead
3. An experienced developer will wanna not only know the architecture roughly, but also see your code which goes in production and your approaches to it BEFORE signing any contract. It makes really sense to come to the office for it. Coming to the office to do a fictive test task only is IMHO a time wasting for everyone.
4. You're talking about fast paced environment and speed. I've expected to hear how are you archiving this (are you using AI, which and how, other methods?), but got nothing meaningful.
5. If you jump from one meeting to another without any pause, it's harmful not only for your productivity, but also for your mental health in long or maybe even middle term.
6. Rethink your "speediness" and "fast paced environment" or at least explain, how you archive this.
7. Don't talk about other companies/your clients badly
8. Show emotions and humanity instead of just mimicless trying to perfect match with your technical questions
9. Don't ask technical questions which are irrelevant
10. Ask yourself if you want to have a perfect match or is someone who comes fast in is also fine for you
11. You didn't even try to make your company attractive in the interview

Trial day means that you also show something to the applicant. How you work, show some code, processes etc.

A plain live task for the applicant is not a trial day.

  • I had three interviews in total - first one with the HR and Manager which was a mix of technical and HR questions. I liked the questions because they were related to my role and clearly structured. The conversation was also very comfortable and friendly, i could express myself without any restrictions.
  • After this i was invited to the trial day on site. I had to complete some tasks and then present it to the team (4 people in total). Again, very professional and friendly conversations at this level. The tasks gave me an insight into what the role entails, and this was very helpful in making a decision if i wanted to continue the process or not.
  • Some days later i received an invite to the final call with the HR Manager, and i got an offer afterwards.
  • Overall, it was a great experience interviewing at Cinemo.

Best recruiting process I’ve had. I can only say nice things about the recruiter that was on my case, as I told her, she and Cinemo made my process very humane and smooth. The recruiter was always very nice, her responses were timely and transparent. The process took 4 weeks and it went as follows:

First interview with recruiter and design lead was very nice, and gave me an idea of the team, the company and their work ways.

3-4 days after my first call, I received an offline task. It was very specific and well written which I appreciated. The amount of time I had to complete the task was enough, fair and respectful: 8h total and one week to deliver it.

About a week or so after, I received an invitation for a Trial Day. It was my first time participating in one of these and I have to say, I really enjoyed it. I first had a quick conversation with my recruiter who was extremely nice, then, I presented my offline task to the UX Lead. Her feedback really felt like a conversation, I felt like we were working together already. Afterwards I had 4 hours to complete a task with lunch in between, and finally I had 30min to present my solution to 2 UX leads, and 2 other members of the company. I think this task was hard to do in 4 hours, and the questions brought up during the presentations were also hard to answer. My advice: you have to be able to make decisions quickly to the best of your ability with the information you have, and your knowledge and experience really play a big part in successfully delivering a solution and answering questions.

At the end of the day I was very very tired but also very very sure I wanted to work at this company. Everyone was nice, professional and showed interest in getting to know me better. It also showed me that this is a challenging role and a challenging industry and that there’s a lot of space to grow and learn.

After a successful trial day, I received an invitation for a last call (a week after my trial day), and after that finally got an offer! I’m looking forward to starting my journey at Cinemo. I believe that how companies handle recruiting processes says a lot about its culture and people you will work with, and Cinemo handled my process beautifully.
