The atmosphere in the team itself is great. But unfortunately, directives from the UK headquarters keep "spitting in the soup" as we say in Germany. Instructions that may make sense locally from a small-minded point of view, but in a global world cannot be reconciled with the requirements and knowledge of the local culture.
Desperation is spreading and many open questions of some decisions remain unanswered. For example, the takeover by a US corporation may be a good step, but for whom and in what direction remains to be seen. Therefore insecurity is spreading and this in turn has a negative effect on the atmosphere itself.
Kommunikation
The communication is based on the matrix structure of the company. Important and relevant company news is handled faster than official communication. But on the whole, communication is not too bad, if it weren't for the recurring uncertainty. Employees and local management must implement instructions etc. from the UK locally. But how is the leadership in the UK indifferent. Consequently, decisions are made based on local circumstances. Unfortunately, these are always contrary to the actual requirements. So it always leads to tension. Former managers have always paid attention to us and put themselves before the team. But with a change of leadership, information is always boxed through without consideration. Sad.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
I have never had such a good team spirit despite the difficult circumstances. Here, everyone pays attention to everyone else and you are part of the whole. True to the motto - we're all in the same boat anyway, so I let us paddle in the same direction and at least push our boat forward.
But unfortunately this is not wanted and we are urged to think and work in small groups.
Hence my headline: Here is a rocket, but the management may not even refuel...

Those who work well and hard also have liberties. Nowhere else is it lived like here.I personally think it's good, because I get my money for it. fair.

As a UK native you always have advantages, even if HQ not declare it. Due to the mentioned above, facts such as fast implementation of instructions count more. Therefore it is more and more difficult to deal with colleagues who are not so 100% pro in English.
