Chaotic and Stressful Environment, but steep Learning Curve
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
You get very quickly responsibility and you can learn a lot, if you can arrange yourself with the environment
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Lack of processes and clear responsibilities mixed with a high workload and high turnover rate create a chaotic and stressful environment
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Set some time aside to pause, reflect and fix organisational and technical liabilities, e.g. introduce dedicated processes and responsibilities. Start from the top and it will trickle down, your organization will perform much better eventually
Arbeitsatmosphäre
To me, it felt superficially positive on the outside, but deeply intransparent and often biased on the inside.
Kommunikation
Regular updates, but at some point you understand that its just a lot of positive or superficial talk. I felt there is a culture of not talking about problems openly
Kollegenzusammenhalt
A great bunch of international people, who are ready to commit a lot of extra hours to contribute to a vision, and who support each other a lot on the operational level.
Work-Life-Balance
Nope, do not fool yourself. In my view, this is a neither start-up anymore, nor grown-up yet company in a fast paced environment with a management that cannot say no to clients.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Throughout my time there I have witnessed some deeply troubling, unprofessional acts and situations, such as lack of leadership, empathy and support for employees when adequate and needed, (miss)handling of burn-outs and removals, decisions based on politics and nepotism and a lack of respect and appreciation for the work done by some employees.
Interessante Aufgaben
This is the one good reason. You get exposed to a lot of different challenges, you will receive far reaching responsibility early on and you can become an expert with a currently high-in-demand skill set, on which you can build a career elsewhere
Gleichberechtigung
An image of a diverse, equal opportunity workforce is cultivated to the outside. In my eyes, reality is different, as management and decision makers are predominantly white, ex-bmw, german, male and married to their work. If you fit that type, great. Everyone else is just a cog in the machine
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
I believe nobody outside C-level works here with age above 40. That should say it all
Arbeitsbedingungen
Neat new office and very good IT equipment
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Its an IT company focussed on emobility charging, duh!
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Competitive deals for early hires and management, not so for new hires.
Image
In my opinion, there is a good image on the outside due to the shareholder story, but not so within the company (a lot of employees are frustrated after a while) and also not so good within the emobility industry (feeling like often viewed as a threat, with a reputation as not being a trustworthy partner).
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Opportunities for trainings or certificates with a dedicated development budget exist. Careerwise, I believe your chances are very slim for internal promotions beyond a senior title to your entry role. There is already an excess of management roles, which the business model most likely cannot sustain.
