It feels like the company is not well organized. Each unit, business, region, department is pulling in their own direction due to full misalignment top down.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Root out toxic line and incompetent line managers. Introduce 360 degrees managers‘ feedback. Bonus for line managers to be tied to employee engagement. get rid of toxic manager who are mobbying their personnel.
Align corporate with business and operational strategy.
Introduce job descriptions ( Exyte does not have them!)
Allows cross- department cooperation.
Define the roles and responsibilities of GBUs and measure their performance.
Stop corporate introducing policies and guidelines useless on operational level. Stop double or tripple headed positions.
Give the employees the opportunity to grow, to showcase their competencies skills and start finally applying right people on the right positions and tasks, starting by reshuffling of the existing personnel.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Chain of command is not known. Processes do not exist. Organisation is decoupled between corporate (Group), GBU (global business units) and local companies. It feels like everyone is focusing on preserving their own workplace instead of working aligned behind the company strategy. It feels like these three organisational parts are working agains each other, instead of with each other.
Kommunikation
Most of the information is gained through gossips. Workers council is useless, comprising of people who use their workers council position to get closer to the management (the irony!) to advance their standing or position in the company.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Depends on the department. Mostly not good.
Work-Life-Balance
Overtime is expected, otherwise deemed as not dedicated to work.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Mobbing on daily basis. Workers have no protection (see above comment about workers council). I suggest to have a really great lawyer on your side if you start working at Exyte. Most of the line managers are no leaders. Many people (also line managers) hired from a company that went bankrupt in the vicinity of Stuttgart who just continued performing as badly.
Interessante Aufgaben
Even if you are better educated and with better working experience as your line manager, you will not get an opportunity to showcase your competencies. Career in this company is not possible. Even change on the same level between departments is often blocked as they are desperate for working people as replacement is almost impossible to find.
Gleichberechtigung
Women mostly in admin, HR, communications. This is also valid for higher positions. It’s a boys’ club.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
Some older colleagues were pushed to retire. Some who wanted to leave earlier were not allowed.
Arbeitsbedingungen
No parking places for employees in the building. One has to walk to reach the garage (5-10 minutes).
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
They are trying to separate the trash.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
You can forget about salary increases as there is a minimal budget for yearly salary increase, mostly split between managers.

Which image? Nobody knows this company in Stuttgart. Young people want a company where they can learn, develop and earn good money— this company is not Exyte.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
They have made linkedin learning available to everyone, but as soon as one wants a certified education your line manager is there waiting happily to block it. Hiring is mostly done external, nobody is even considering promoting own people based on the principle— let some other company invest in their employees and then we will recruit them. Sadly enough, many come lured by mighty promises and leave within 6 months. Most of the time they go back to the same company where they came from.
