Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

An interesting product to work on. Parties and company events in general are very well organised.

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Low value placed upon expertise as compared to cultural fit.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

Highly political environment. Yes-men are rewarded. Critics sidelined until they leave the company. The company has a very high fluctuation mostly due to the lack of professional development opportunities, poor pay, excessive meeting load and lack of accountability in management.

Kommunikation

Communication between departments happens mostly via unofficial channels and rumours as the majority of the middle management seems to be either incapable or unwilling to act as a communication layer.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Higher management is composed mostly of former management consultants and are often either too inexperienced and/or lazy and/or consumed with office politics to effectively lead the company. Mid level managers can be hit or miss, depending upon the department.

Interessante Aufgaben

Depends upon the department. Software developers in the product and engineering department spend most of their time in meetings and working on legacy code.

Gleichberechtigung

There are no females in higher management positions. There are also no females over 40.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

There are 3 maybe 4 employees (out of 130) older than 40. None (maybe one?) in management positions.

Arbeitsbedingungen

Stylish, but noisy, stuffy and dirty open plan offices. Surprisingly difficult for software developers to get appropriate hardware for their jobs. Most employees have desks that are too small to work efficiently.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

Supposedly the company donates 10% of their profits to charities.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

The bare minimum (e.g. pension funds, working contracts according to German labour laws, being paid on time) are celebrated as major achievements. Considering that the company is locate din Munich pay for non-managers seems to be a below average as are the 27 vacation days.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

There are no career options for people who don't want to engage in office politics. There is no structured professional development for employees and very little budget for non-structured education.
