Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We sincerely regret that your experience at Hahnair did not meet your expectations. We take your concerns seriously and strive to improve. This is why we have already taken your feedback to our Management Board.

We were quite surprised by your description of our company and your comparison of our company culture to a “cult”. We would like to take the opportunity to clarify, as readers might get an odd impression of our company when reading about “cult activities”, a “song” and “spirit”.

The “cult activities” you refer to are social activities like lunch meet-ups and parties. It is true that we offer various voluntary team and company events and we are glad to see that our employees enjoy spending time with each other. But these are all just offers, and we are very sorry to hear that you felt like you were forced to engage in these team activities. The "spirit" you refer to is what we proudly call “the Hahnair spirit”. It is just a name for our company culture and ultimately means team spirit. We are a little confused that it seemed “cult-like” to you when we’re just a bunch of colleagues from around the world with a great team spirit.

The song you mention is our company song and video "Just One Code (HR-169)" we produced on the occasion of our 25th anniversary. We did not force anyone to be a part of it, but we are very sorry if you felt that way. It would have been great if you had addressed this with the project team at the time. Nevertheless, we will keep this in mind in case we should organise similar projects in the future.

Regarding your comments on salary and HR cooperation, our salaries are based on market average and depend on individual competencies and qualifications. In addition to our numerous non-monetary benefits, we also offer many that are reflected in salary. Benefits include, for example, a 13th salary, additional credit to be spend in a number of stores, various financial allowances (for daily lunch, pension provision, capital-forming benefits and childcare), leasing of electronic company cars and free charging stations, 30 vacation days plus special leave days and much more.
In addition, we are already working on a transparent pay scheme for some time and are committed to ensuring competitive compensation and responsive HR support.

In terms of office presence, our company policy offers up to 80% remote work in accordance with individual and team needs. We have found that this significantly contributes to our employees’ work life balance. However, we also recognise that differing preferences can pose challenges within a team.
