Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

The research team in crops science is doing very interesting stuff. The food they produce is great, and the mission is well intentioned (not being achieved quite nicely thouth)

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

The inside culture is rotten! Toxic, incompetent "leaders" getting promoted all the time. People giving orders without any clue makes talented employees leave as they are told to do stupid things. Not everyone is bad but overall there are more bad leaders than good ones.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Fire those a**holes that you have on top that are making the company sink. Open your eyes to the non-white non-male talent and have some real diversity. Keep your leader on the technology area though. That one is great indeed.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

The environment is not as friendly and cool as it was in the first years. A lot of ego wars, now that the company has money politics have taken over. Barely any growth for the people inside, if anything there'll be baby steps, especially if you're non-white or a woman.

Kommunikation

Very difficult to maintain transparent and up-to-date communication in a company growing so fast, across different countries. They do try but this has been a pain point since forever and I don't think this is exclusive to Infarm: all hypergrowth companies deal with this for sure.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

I have never worked in a place where people where so genuinely nice to each other; unfortunately that changed a lot since many teams were made fully remote and now that the company is so large. It is not the same cool place it was 2-3 years ago.

Work-Life-Balance

This can vary a lot from position to position and from time to time. In the past I had time pressing projects and did a lot of overtime. Now the company is bigger so there are more hands to help and I believe W-L-B has improved a lot

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Now that the company is bigger, it is not that simple to get things rolling. Employees have only a certain level of decision making. The freedom to bring new ideas and initiatives is long gone. Managers love to micro manage and one has only a certain level of influence that won't go too far up.
Top management isn't bad or mean, they're just not experienced in running a business this size. They are nice and well intentioned but not prepared for this challenge.

Interessante Aufgaben

Very dependent on which team, but in R&D they are doing crazy stuff, extremely interesting. I don't know how much freedom there is nowadays; certainly not as much as in the past.

Gleichberechtigung

Bad. Really bad.
Yes, there is an international environment, but women are ages behind men.
The one woman with a C-level position is the founder's wife. Everyone else is male, and 9/10 of them are white. Not one single non-white woman has a really senior role.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

If you are 35 or older you are definitely one of the oldest people in the company. Only some high level managers and 2-3 colleagues here and there have 45+.

Arbeitsbedingungen

After going fully remote, Infarm did set the bar really high. Employees get everything they need at home: from standing desks, to all the computer equipment you need. Some benefits were taken away and replaced by others (for ex. no its either public transport card or bike rent subscription, but if you're fully remote I think you can't get the public transport card anymore). But there are a lot of other company benefits, this is something good for sure.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

Uuuufff this is a hard one. The employees really try to be environmentally conscious but the investors want something different. A lot of food waste, a lot of packaging material, a very long supply chain to ship stuff all over the country. But they get 3 stars for trying, because they do try to improve and have dedicated teams working on this.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Not the highest salaries in the market. Most of us could get a much bigger paycheck for our jobs in bigger or wealthier companies.

Well.... the company seems pretty hip from the outside. They do make cool stuff and is a company with a lot of flair and hype. They're products are THE BEST undoubtedly (do buy them cause they're tasty and fresh AF!).
But everyone who was there for the last 2-4 years that left feels extremely disappointed and happy to be out. Culture is rotting from the inside.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

A weak spot for the company. It is mostly people who are friends with certain people that get promoted. Most of the times they look for people outside instead of developing their existing pool of talent, which has led to many great employees leaving.
They tolerate toxic people, who get promoted all the time. Nepotism at its brightest.
