Uninspired product, terrible atmosphere and no coherent strategy at all
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
The office is very centrally located.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Company strategy and vision are uninspired and ever changing. Motivation is deteriorating quickly, leading to an astonishingly low retention rate, especially of new employees. C-levels only care about numbers and put the well-being of employees far behind.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
If you put people before numbers, the latter will follow. Get a vision that motivates everyone and has meaning. Be transparent and truthful in communications.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
If you love permanent "crunch time", because the numbers are below expectations and an astonishing amount of people leaving weeks after they were employed, you are in a for treat.
Kommunikation
No vision, no strategy, ever changing goals in the middle of the month. But be certain that you'll have meaningless 1on1s regularly.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Old colleagues have a great team spirit, bug given that more and more of those are leaving, this one is deteriorating as well.
Work-Life-Balance
Work-life-balance is okay-ish. Depends strongly on your role though. Especially if you're in sales, you're gonna have a bad time.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
No clear goals, despite clear feedback on various "soft factors", no action taken because numbers are put before human beings. If earned employees quit, wrong reasons are communicated while all employees know it's fake.
Interessante Aufgaben
Since the product is just yet another meta-search engine for jobs built for the sole purpose of having some poor investor acquire it in an exit, there is no room for truly disruptive ideas that would actually improve something. If you can't provide numbers, and only good numbers, you're gonna have a bad time.
Gleichberechtigung
Overall share of women in the company is pretty high, especially among the developers. However, the share of women in leading roles is below average.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
There are none. The oldest is in his early fourties. Probably because most experienced people can not be deceived by the facade.
Arbeitsbedingungen
Laptops and software are fine. The new office has no start-up feeling to it at all though. Small rooms that prevent effective cross-communication and team spirit. No decorations or leisure activities either.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
I guess.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
There is a huge salary gap. If you're just out of uni or similar, you'll have to negotiate hard to get a fair deal. If you happen to have a great CV though, you can get quite some money for doing nothing at all. There is free fruit.
Image
Outside of the C-level bubble, discontent is high. Mentally many people have already resigned.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
If you're a great negotiator, you might get an online course paid for by the company. If not, you're in bad luck. Within the company, personal development and the next career steps are vague at best.
