Diversity, opennes for new approaches, feedback culture
It's supported if valuable for the company.
Very competitive salary. It's negotiable at the beginning.
It's on eyelevel
As we are in home office depends on oneself
People get freedom to explore certain topics and areas.
The flexibility, trust, independence and support I experience here, as well as working on a super exciting project with a bunch of very talented people.
Set up a better procedures for when somebody leaves
For me personally, it feels like working on something really cool with friends. I trust my coworkers and feel that they trust me to do well as well. There's always someone offering to teach you something, or help you make your job easier.
Overall I'd say people talk positively. There have been a couple of cases where letting someone go wasn't handled in the best possible way.
Hours are pretty flexible - as long as you get your work done and you show up to your appointments/meetings, nobody minds if you need to do a day of home office or are a bit late.
I think we could be better at separating our trash, but we got rid of bottled water a while ago. There's a large selection of conventional as well as vegan snacks available, and there's always a vegan option when we get catered lunch (once a week).
Every employee has regular one-on-ones with one of the founders/their manager, in which you're encouraged to discuss your goals and wishes for the future. I don't know what it's like for every single position here, but I personally feel supported and challenged to become better at my job.
It's a very friendly, and motivated team. There's a lot of trust and mutual respect, and I can freely joke around with basically everyone here.
Overall I'm very happy, but of course not everything is perfect - the exit procedure could have gone smoother for a couple of people who were leaving. But there's also real efforts being made to improve this in the future.
Flexible hours, independent work, friendly coworkers and management. Free catered lunches on Thursdays. Sometimes we have dogs in the office. Management is constantly working on improving working conditions as well. We also have frequent team events which are usually a blast.
Overall good, sometimes it's just a bit chaotic and stuff gets lost along the way.
Above average salary plus shares, free monthly public transport and Urbansportsclub membership for everyone.
It would be great to have more women in the team, but I have not experienced discrimination.
There's a high level of independence, and the expectation is that you keep learning and improving, and find a way to do your job that works for you. You answer to your team for the most part. If I get bored, I find something interesting to do or grab someone to teach me something - this is encouraged, and even taking a class during work hours would be okay if you're having a lot of downtime and it's relevant for your job.
High salary. Across the board there is high salaries, paying above industry standard and above local standards.
If you are an engineer/tech oriented, you will have all the freedom. No reporting, minor oversight, no hindrance.
Fascinating idea and enthralling business concept.
Management style: Only the founders (plus the CFO) are management. They don't have ever managed a team and this is very noticeable. Every person that is hired as a people manager is eventually fired or leaves. Avoiding conflict is the standard, and no one else's view/ideas are accepted, except for sycophantic approaches. There is a pseudo-flat hierarchy (no leads, no seniors, no managers) with no reporting, no employee evaluation and therefore no book keeping of any sort. Your word vs theirs. No one except the founders organizes work or workflow. Founders expect employees to be their friends and it acts as a chain of command of sorts: how close are you to them personally, is what counts, not your professional competence.
Agile methodologies: there are standups. Every other space for discussion, debate, or issue raising has been removed. 0 accountability. Work is organized by the teams (100% self regulated), without any vision or planning further than 3 months vista.
Diversity: none. Sexism is standard in the management team.
Development: demo/showcase development. Big improvements are made for videos and showcasing, and it is abandoned or diluted in the project after.
Accept that you cannot humanly control everything.
