By far the worst employer I've ever met.
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
I can mention the good infrastructure and great colleagues here.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
See above.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
In addition to the above points, do not delete inconvenient Kununu reviews and do not allow positive reviews to be falsified. This is very bad style.
Face up to criticism from employees and deal with it seriously and find real solutions or create sustainable improvements.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
The working atmosphere is poisoned: instead of motivating, encouraging and appreciating employees, it's top-down: unfiltered, unreflected, top-down, just comply with netiquette, nothing else. Those who don't keep up with this quickly suffer the consequences or are allowed to leave during their probationary period. The tasks are calculated in minutes and then the employee's productivity is assessed. The best employee is the one who doesn't say anything, who doesn't complain, who doesn't say anything back, who quietly completes the required tasks.
Kommunikation
Communication is patchy and selective. Even within the department of an institute, not everyone has the same level of knowledge and information. Personal jour fixes or departmental meetings are often cancelled without feedback. Managers cannot be expected to explain or even apologise for this.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Fortunately, things are often collegial within and across departments, even if there are colleagues who block your work, deliberately work against each other, slow each other down or even publicly defame other employees. Older employees are deliberately and perceptibly marginalised. That really shocked me.
Work-Life-Balance
Due to the high workload and the lack of familiarisation, there is hardly a healthy work-life balance. Even 8 hours is hardly enough to cope with the workload or forget appointments. Overtime in the two to three-digit range is the rule and a well-known problem.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Only a few are real managers or have what it takes. Many have neither management experience nor expertise, but want to set the tone on all topics and know everything better. The tried and tested is abolished, the wheel is reinvented with mistakes and if it doesn't work, the employees are to blame. If things are going too well in the department, the functioning is blocked. If the department is not running well, the line manager has to be even stricter. Unpleasant employees are systematically forced to resign or are kept down. I have also experienced sexist remarks from superiors.
Interessante Aufgaben
Otherwise I wouldn't have started there.
Gleichberechtigung
Large pay gap between men and women, older and younger employees and within a department anyway. One earns E13, the other E11. One E9 and the next E13 - for identical tasks. It is well known in the organisation that the administration in particular is paid more and more, while the administration of the clinics, research and nursing staff are paid too little.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
Appreciation: none. Knowledge transfer: undesirable. Exchange and replaceability, and this is deliberately worked towards.
Arbeitsbedingungen
Below the standard. People still use in-house mail and fax. Hardly any digitalisation, only a few people can work remotely and then only those who have the manager's backing. Extreme mistrust in the workforce that work is being done at all. Outdated workplace equipment. Disinfectant dispensers have been empty for months. Toilet paper or washing-up liquid is often stolen, so that you even has to provide resources on yourself.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Neither is present.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Remuneration is based on the collective labour agreement. You can live on it, but in Munich it's getting tight.
Image
The clinic lives from its good reputation in research. I wouldn't want to work there or be a patient myself.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Not available, even if others say different things here.
