Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Even though many benefits have been stopped in the past due to financial constraints the free lunch is still a blast! There is enough parking space. There are many highly qualified employees under one roof.

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

No works council to handle employees' concerns. Employees are exploited.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

You must manage to retain the extremely well-qualified and very engaged employees. Introduce a time management system, and don't close your eyes on the fact that many employees work more than 10 hours per day without compensation. Handle employees with respect, appreciate their effort and show leadership quality. Be friend not superior for your team. Move away from your own sensitivities and act fair and understanding. Be a role model!!! Big company attitude (hierarchy thinking, polarization, clique formation) doesn't fit to a startup like Lilium. Stop the incredible bureaucracy and ensure continuity. Deal honestly with employees. Understand that all employees are aware about the financial ups and downs of a cost-intensive development process and show great gratitude to the employees who are empathetic enough to go along with these fluctuations.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

The we-feeling exists because of the outstanding engineer quality. There is a picture book past or present that everyone wants to be a part of: 4 musketeers, aka the four Lilium founders, all still working in the company who dedicated themselves to a great idea and put everything into developing an eVOL jet. Very human, employees who join want to be part of this vision of the future! Reality catches up with you quickly. Too few employees for a huge task, high expectations, no rewardability and a night mare of bureaucracy and administrational nonsense mainly created by the HR department which due to a lack of time in the office needs to be done mainly in your spare time. The departure of employees who no longer want to put all their energy into a company that offers neither financial security nor work-life balance is huge.

Kommunikation

Has been built up and is regular but often too much information and completely mixed up to give the employee the feeling that the company takes care.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

Available to compensate for the crazy workload.

Work-Life-Balance

Absolutely 0. And beyond that, the outsized commitment of employees is not valued at all.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Very different. There are very good managers who are aware of their responsibility and want to be fair. Others think their Airbus past gives them the right to be something better and play the axe in the woods. I have no luck here.

Interessante Aufgaben

Indeed exiting.

Gleichberechtigung

ok

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

ok

Arbeitsbedingungen

Open-plan offices, difficulties with technical working equipment, an insane amount of administration. Home office is supported, but sometimes rather unfavorable in the search for quick decisions and due to the many cross-team issues.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

Battery instead of jet fuel ... but are batteries environmentally conscious?

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

the only real means of luring employees. It works!

Image

If you think your way in, you'll notice that there's a lot of frothing going on.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

Here, the desire is also great, but the implementation is low.

Johann Dr. LexVP Business Partnering and Talent Acquisition

Dear Lilian,
Thank you for your feedback and your appreciation of our employee offers such as free lunch, sports or health and well being. And yes, together with you and our international teams, we work on a big challenge to develop our full electric jet with demanding tasks for all of us.
I don't agree to your statement, that we exploit our employees!
Yes, we need to work hard to achieve our mission, but we also correspond to legal working time requirements in Germany and allow hybrid working wherever possible. Employees who feel overworked can always reach out to their managers or to People Business Partners or anonymously to our Compliance Management. In addition we offer an anonymous access to our external Employee Assistant Programme to get advice and/or personal coaching.
We are constantly working to further improve our inclusive leadership culture and communication in our international and growing environment.
Please reach out to me or your People Business Partner if you want to further discuss areas of improvement.
Best,
Hans
