Keep on going. I don't understand anyone who doesn't appreciate what this company gives/does.
is it still a startup after 10 years?
lots of talking behind each others backs
quote: "you should consider yourself lucky not to have to work 60 hours or more, so stop complaining"
Minimum salary, no social care, no benefits
not a topic at all
almost everyone was ready to quit at some point
long-standing colleagues were forced to quit because of exploitation and ill-treatment
not open for criticism at all. cheating and lying to investors, clients and employees to polish image. transparency and honesty were not part of the deal
construction site next door made it difficult at times to have a conversation
very poor, months have passed with close to none communication
He puts real passion in what he has created and this is really motivating.
Sometimes the goal sets are based on too high forecasts, that can be hard to achieve.
Lovely atmosphere. Everyone is treated fairly.
We share a real passion for what we do. Employees are often surfers, skiers and outdoor people!
Flexible working hours are great. Home office has been increased for employees working in the company for more than 2 years. This can still be improved as the majority of employees come from different countries and are often living far from home.
There is not much option for career growth, but there are continuous personal developments and rewards.
Paid is not great as we have to pay for taxes, health care, etc ourselves, but still, it is ok if you live outside Europe. Incentives are given through a Bonus structure.
Not one of the main priorities of the company right now but improvements are planned.
Colleagues are friends. We hang out after work and during time off.
Employees are asked for opinions and decision making is well-explained.
Fantastic office. Working material/computers etc provided.
Good communications. All hands meeting once a month to discuss general stuff and share results. Sales Team meetings once a week.
Everyone is treat equally.
Ok division of work.
A progressive working environment with a lot of room for self-management and flexible working structure within teams.
Pretty well perceived within the luxury surf and snow travel industry.
A pretty flexible working structure. You can manage your own hours and chose if you want to work remotely or from one of the offices around the world.
LUEX has definitely the potential to be a company that nurtures people's growth and careers.
LUEX doesn't shower its staff with riches but that's all part of the startup culture. Still, a relatively new company with some ways to go regarding competitiveness but LUEX s definitely making steps in the right directions with bonus structures, etc.
One of the major focus points for the near future
Within the individual teams great! Sometimes hard to connect with other departments since we aren't all in the same location and time zone. Overall a pretty tight-knit crew though.
Pretty young crew, so not really an issue at all.
Not much contact between management and the different departments as everything is handled by the individual teams and their supervisors. Due to the set up the relationship between department heads and staff is very straight forward and relaxed with lots of communication.
Pretty nice to have the freedom to work remotely, however, you are responsible for your own equipment and office setup.
It could be better, but I guess that's what every company with remote teams are dealing with.
Everyone is treated fair and equal
Still a startup, which means you have to be able to wear multiple hats and work on several projects at the same time.
sometimes a bit stressful but overall really good
Remotely organized. 8 hrs per day.
not great, but fair with personal bonus.
fun colleagues
boss expects a lot. But is fair.
you can choose where to work from.
sometimes lacking as we are not all together.
interesting environment
Working in Bali close to the beach was nice. Nice colleagues.
Very selfish and exploiting.
Less hours and better work-life balance are proven to increase productivity. (not the other way around).
I experienced secretiveness and rumors about individual work related situations. eg. "Don't let your colleagues know about..."
Sexy from the outside, rotten from the inside.
Work came first, no matter what. Burnouts were part of the deal. Over hours were expected. Colleagues quitting because of that. 10 days home office allowance per year. 25 holidays. I was free to choose my work schedule but I had difficulties to live my life while being 10 hours at the office every day during the week.
This was my first job after uni and I did what I was being told to do without any external perspective of growth or development.
Minimum.
There was no action or even awareness for social or environmental issues.
Nice colleagues who also meet outside of work.
Young team. Long-serving and loyal employees quit during my time at LUEX because of mistreatment.
It was very hard to pass on constructive criticism. Usually it was not accepted and I was told to be too inexperienced to have a saying. No interest in your well being / health.
Had to work on my private laptop. Construction site right in front of the office for 2 years was so loud you sometimes couldn't have a proper conversation. Nice office though.
Very bad communication across teams. All hands team meeting roughly once a year when absolutely necessary. (also: Construction site right in front of the office for 2 years was so loud you sometimes couldn't have a proper conversation haha. Nice office though.)
Everyone was being treated the same
Lots of freedom for creativity. (when finding the time for it)
