If it’s your first job ever and you’re desperate, it will be fine, otherwise you can do better (PA position - safety)
Arbeitsatmosphäre
The work environment tends to be nice where people care about one another and help eachother out. Colleagues in the same hierarchy are super informal and feel like friends rather than colleagues.
Kommunikation
Most things are communicated well. However, if you are in your trial 6month period do not expect a heads up if you’re gonna get fired. They will not give you one. Also if there is an issue with your work, there will be no clear and strict deadline given for you to work on it. They will just say “we’ll get you there” and then fire you when you don’t perform well within a window that they didn’t bother to tell you.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Everyone is super nice
Work-Life-Balance
30 days paid holiday, usually don’t have to work overtime so quite nice
Vorgesetztenverhalten
As per the above comment they don’t communicate issues well. At least not issues that pertain to individuals in the team. If there’s an issue from a 3rd party fine, but between people or with yourself, not so much. I feel like they don’t give clear and strict deadlines for improvement and when you, surprisingly, don’t improve as quickly as they want you to (because they have no clear written deadline) they let you go with no warning. Everything is done by phone so if there’s an issue definitely get it written in an email.
Interessante Aufgaben
In the PA position you’re basically filing 40h a week. You’re downloading files to your computer, putting them in packs (merging) and then uploading them again. Also writing emails. Sounds simple but after a few hours of that it becomes under stimulating. I wish there was more than that but no. That’s the simplified version of what the tasks are every day, every week.
Arbeitsbedingungen
Pretty good but also nothing to brag about. Office is clean, facilities are good.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
In the project assistant position good luck climbing up the ladder. Most PAs leave within 1-2 years because of bad pay and no way to get a raise or climb up.
Image
They have a wonderful image but unfortunately once you’re in, you see the cracks in the picture
Karriere/Weiterbildung
You need a masters in some life science to be able to advance. If you need a first job this is fine but if you really want to advance, you better look somewhere else
