Mostly sunny with a chance of storms :)
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
- Remote work (mostly) possible
- Good working atmosphere
- Quite a lot of freedom and support with regards to career development (in my experience: within the limits of bringing value to the company, you can make your own job to a certain degree and with enough patience)
- very people- and consensus-oriented culture (with all the pros and cons of this)
- fully cross-functional product dev teams (=usually interesting work)
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
- since the Acquisition from Adevinta: Processes from hell, sadly. To a certain degree relatable (fallout from the Merger), but definitely needs to be fixed urgently.
- Lots of meetings.
- A little chaotic at times. Mostly that works out well for people who like freedom and are self-driven. Not so cool if more guidance/info is needed for people to act independently.
- People managers are a bit hit-and-miss, I've had great ones, but also not so great ones.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
- Meeting culture: plenty of meetings, meeting etiquette hit and miss (agendas etc.)
- Team cohesion (outside the own direct team) isn't so great since moving to remote-first work. There could be done more to generate that warm fuzzy feeling of working together as a team towards the same goal.
- Feedback processes (currently mostly good if you've talked to the right person. Yet, sometimes it is very hard to identify the right person. The company could make it easier.)
