Company is filled with positive and friendly atmosphere. Even though company develops complex technologies, everything is well organised and managed in a decent way. There is no place for pressure or mean comments. Employees roles are clearly defined.
Kommunikation
Management team is explicit about company's strategy, goals and results. Financial results are published on the company's intranet on the monthly basis, these are also discussed in more details couple times a year during larger meetings. Sometimes you might feel like information could be passed around a bit faster, but I think this is natural for all bigger, international companies, which Omicron defenietly is. Even though communication within the company is on a very good level, management is contiousely improving it, based on feedback collected from the employees.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
As stated above, working atmosphere at Omiron is just great. Company takes care about good relationship between employees by having us all have a lunch together and organising team events at least twice a year. Also atmoshpere within project teams is good. People are mature, do respect each other. Debates are always civil, if there are any differences, these are always in the range of professional, healthy disagreement, never on the personal level.
Work-Life-Balance
Company offers flexible working hours. HR is really serious about respecting labour law and maximum working time limits. I can't imagine that someone would ever put a pressure on you to do overtime at Omicron. No problems with vacation planing. Also coaches are very understanding and wouldn't make you any problems to take a few days off if something unexpected happened.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Omicron did an excellent job with their coaches who are very close to the employees. Each Omicron's employee has a meeting with a coach on a regular basis. These are simply to sense how do you feel at work, if there are any obstacles blocking you, or simply to talk about anything that comes to your mind.
In case of planning, you may get a bit overload with a work from time to time, but in general, everything is well prepared and scheduled, thanks to comitted project leaders and project managers.
Interessante Aufgaben
It may take some time at the beginning at the Omicron to dive into its technology, but once you're in, you may spend hours absorbed with work on various topics. Company is focused on constant development, and that goes all along with whole bunch of interesting, excitedly challanging tasks. Even if, after some time you got more used to your daily work, you may still expect something new to pop up. What is extremely positive, as part of a development team you have a real impact on shaping the final product. If you only want, you can get really involved with the product. At Omicron entire team is working on the product development.
Arbeitsbedingungen
Most of employees work at spacious, two person rooms. Thanks to glass doors at each room there is still the feeling of openes, so you won't get isolated. Work places are well equiped with good quality computer hardware and height-adjustable desks. Room temperature and window blinders are controlled remotely through intranet page. Fine air conditioning system without freezeing and windy feeling on your neck.

Prime and respected company of its segment with a top-quality solutions and client service. However, company specialize in a very niche field, hence people out of that industry branch may not be familiar with it.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
As the organizational structure at Omicron is rather flat and there are not many levels of management, the career development at Omicron is more about becoming an expert in your field, rather than climbing up the career ladder. But to further progress your development you have a chance to broaden your skills and knowledge, and get involved in more interesting tasks. I do appreciate it, but it may be a problem for people who like to pursue the leadership roles.
If at any point you feel like trying to step into something new, and taking on new challanges within a company, I'm sure HR and management team would consider that in a longer run, just make sure to be explicit about your goals.
