Arbeitsatmosphäre

For a startup, Purish has demonstrated a very clear development direction and goals, which I find very encouraging. Every Tuesday, the company holds a general staff meeting to summarize the overall operational performance of the previous week. Each team has the opportunity to present their key data and future project plans during the meeting. I have noticed that each team is well aware of their responsibilities and goals, as well as the company’s expectations of them. This clarity enables most employees to work efficiently. Additionally, the company’s workforce is very young, with the majority of employees being in their 20s. The working atmosphere in the company is highly inclusive and open. There is a lot of cross-departmental collaboration on projects every day, allowing employees to be exposed to a variety of different tasks and working logic. This diversity provides young employees with ample opportunities for learning and experimentation.

Kommunikation

I joined Purish in November 2023 and have been working here for 10 months. During this time, I have come to appreciate Purish's strong commitment to open communication with every employee, which is particularly impressive for a startup. The company holds systematic feedback sessions between employees and managers every quarter, encouraging everyone to openly share their opinions, suggestions, and concerns without fear of negative repercussions. Additionally, every other Monday, the management team meets with HR to discuss ways to enhance employee benefits, support team building, and promote employees' interests and career growth. Even as a startup, I can confidently say that Purish is a company that truly puts its employees first.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

Purish often hosts various company-wide events, such as karaoke nights, soccer nights, summer parties, and Christmas parties. These events provide an opportunity for all employees, especially those in different offices or without overlapping projects, to get to know each other. Furthermore, Purish places great importance on team building. Each month, Purish allocates a certain budget to each team for team-building activities, allowing them to organize their own events as needed.

Purish encourages a company culture of mutual assistance. For areas I am not familiar with, I often seek help by asking different departments through the company Slack. Most of the time, regardless of position or department, everyone is willing to help me and solve problems.

Work-Life-Balance

The company is currently experimenting with a fully flexible home office policy for five days a week. Employees can choose when they want to work from the office. Additionally, work hours are flexible, and employees only need to log their work time each day through Personio. The company also allows pets at work, and every day different colleagues bring their beloved dogs to the office. Seeing these adorable dogs always brightens my mood.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Honestly, as a startup, I don’t think Purish is perfect, and there is undeniably a lot of room for improvement. However, I want to share what I’ve observed over the past 10 months: The two CEOs of the company are very clear about the company's development direction, communicate with each team lead weekly, and actively seek feedback on the company's progress. The HR team continually designs and optimizes the quarterly employee feedback mechanism and works hard to secure better employee benefits (such as monthly transportation allowances, fuel cards, team-building funds, fitness expenses, and language learning support). The Office Team is consistently focused on improving the work environment (we have upgraded from regular desks to standing desks, added more fans at employee requests, and organized team-building activities more frequently). No company or person is perfect, but I am grateful to be part of a startup that acknowledges its imperfections, listens to employee feedback, and actively strives for improvement. I see that the management team, including the two CEOs, is attentive to every employee, open to different perspectives, and provides unwavering support to each team.

Interessante Aufgaben

The company is expanding its business into different marketplaces, and there are various projects related to my department. This allows us to engage with leading e-commerce platforms in Europe.

Interestingly, since the company is related to skincare and cosmetics, the majority of employees are female. The company provides equal work and promotion opportunities for everyone. Purish is also a diverse company, with employees from around the world. As a non-native German speaker, I have received ample respect at the company. The company offers free opportunities for employees to learn German, and all major meetings are conducted in English.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

Most of the employees at the company are very young, with only a small proportion being relatively older. Experienced employees are usually willing to share their work experience.

Arbeitsbedingungen

We have two offices, with most departments located in the main office. My team and the logistics team are in the other office. The office decor is relatively simple. Recently, the company upgraded to new standing desks and chairs to improve our work environment. The company provides free snacks, fruit, coffee, drinks, and ice cream. Parking spaces are available for employees who drive to work.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Salaries are at the average level for Berlin. Additionally, each quarter, there is a bonus incentive mechanism based on team performance.

The company encourages employees to propose more learning plans and supports their career development and education.
