Some C-Levels micromanage a lot and only react instead of acting and planning or trusting their teams.

Increase Trainingsbudgets and ease the access to it - now that ratepay is changing a lot (in a positive way) you need to help everyone to learn new technologies and increase their skillset.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
The atmosphere is always friendly and constructive and the more the new colleagues bring their experience to bear. I like especially the international atmosphere brought in from people coming from all over the world - most of them have a can-do spirit which also reflects on the mood in the room.
Kommunikation
There are regular All-Hand meetings, not only for the whole company but also for some departments like IT or Commercial. Company Numbers and Survey Results are communicated very openly.
However, communication still suffers from the workload and can be improved. I want to mention that I always feel like I can ask any question, critical or not, in any situation to anyone at Ratepay, especially the C-Level.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
The cohesion between colleagues below C-Level is extraordinary. When people have time and resources to help, they do it without hesitating.
Work-Life-Balance
For me and the people around me this is great. Yes, we have more work than we have people to work on, but management does their best to live processes to ensure a stable workload on a healthy but also ambitious level. Mobile office, flexible working hours helped me to manage my workload in a family friendly way.

This depends very much on the manager. I'm incredibly happy with my C-Level manager and many other managers want their people and teams to grow and achieve remarkable things.
Interessante Aufgaben
The complexity of tasks is incredible- technically and product wise. Yes, there are technical debts, but this is actively addressed and building state of the art alternatives is constantly part of the roadmap.
The company is moving into the cloud and while doing so a lot of existing legacy technology is going to be replaced by modern cloud alternatives.

Equality is particularly important, and the employee body is truly diverse in terms of gender, ethnicity, and career background.

I have a very modern setup - you can choose between Windows, Mac or Linux. This also goes for the hardware the company provides for your Home office. It's all standardized, but of high quality.
I have access to modern remote working tools like MS Teams, Miro, Office 365.
The company is moving into a brand-new office mid of February - from what i have heard the new office is very modern (completely new building), well equipped.

The company offers participation in Social-Fridays, where the company organizes Opportunities to work with social projects to give something back. E.g. Tafeln Berlin or Alte Fasanerie and many more.
There is a dedicated person for Sustainability.

This can be improved, but it seems like Management has understood the Gap to the Market and wants to change it.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
I can use an Udemy account to take an unlimited number of courses and there is a development process to get people to the next level, when they want to.
