One of the strongest points - the company has a strong emphasis on creating a harmonic and enjoyable working atmosphere, where workers are encouraged to give feedback, both internally and for projects.
Kommunikation
Communication is good, with meetings taking place daily to organize tasks and questions someone may have. Longer talks take place once a week with individuals and the entire team to plan the forthcoming work week and allow workers to raise any issues. I like the focus on listening to peoples feedback, with regular rotating meetings taking place for workers to express any issues and give/receive feedback.

There's a strong family-type culture, with everyone supporting each other and sharing friendly banter in the office. Whether it's going to the Gym with a colleague, going to lunch or meeting up out-of-office, there's always a feeling of community and involvement, not just in doing work.
Work-Life-Balance
Family and health is put forward and taken into strong consideration when deciding how and when someone can work. Work times are flexible and can be organised/arranged where needed, based on workload and/or set targets. Holiday can be arranged flexibly with days being booked in the first and last halves of the year.

Conflict within the working environment is basically non-existent, workers have both, between themselves and their superiors, a respectful relationship which doesn't promote a toxic climate.

I joined umwerk-systems as a junior developer, having done an "Ausbildung" in applications development. My transition to being a general systems administrator was without any issues, senior colleagues have been accommodating in explaining and guiding me through tasks.

As an administrator, I was given the opportunity to choose my laptop and operating system without being bound into a specific ecosystem. Workers are given the opportunity to request items, office material and upgrades to existing hardware as needed.
