Used to be a good company
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
If you don't care about all the critique, it is still a nice place to work. You will get a lot of responsibility very quickly.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Employees are often treated like animals. You are expected to work very hard and shut your mouth.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
You should listen much more to the concerns of your employees. Everybody who works there long enough knows the problems.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
If you work in the consulting department, you will have a lot of pressure to achieve your targets (billable hours). This is the only thing that matters. Managers do not care about your personal well being. They will prompt you to work countless over hours and also expect you to work on weekends.
Kommunikation
There are regular company updates every month. The information that is communicated there is however somewhat one-sided. It is mostly about current and future projects and the revenue that has been achieved recently.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
There is a very good cohesion amongst employees. Most people are very supportive and help each other.
Work-Life-Balance
There is no work-life-balance. At least not for consultants (who make up the biggest chunk of employees). You will work long hours, typically 45-50, sometimes even more, depending on the project. Management is even encouraging that. You will be constantly harassed by your superiors if you don't perform as expected.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Very poor. Most managers are ignorant towards your personal concerns and will only expect you to work more. You will get very unrealistic targets and work on several projects simultaneously. Management consists almost exclusively of very young and inexperienced guys who are often clearly overwhelmed. Don't expect any decision making or conflict management from your superiors.
Interessante Aufgaben
Some projects are really interesting and challenging. Most of the work however is bulk business. You will be constantly shifted from one task to another without being properly introduced into the topic. If you want to work on one of the few big projects, you will need to have a veeeery good relationship with the management...
Gleichberechtigung
Everyone is treated equally (bad). There are both male and female superiors. Some employees seem to get special treatment however, depending on how close you are personally with the management.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
There are almost no older colleagues. The company mostly recruits very young and inexperienced people right from college. Average age is probably somewhere between 25 - 27.
Arbeitsbedingungen
Working equipment is very good. You'll get modern laptops and smartphones. There are several offices in Germany and Switzerland which are all pretty nice and new.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Salary is below average. Several senior employees have already left the company because of this. Too much work is expected for too less money.
Image
Perception and reality don't fit. On the outside, this is a great place to work. Once you look past all the glitter, you'll see the cracks in the wall.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
There are some continued education initiatives, like product trainings and methodology courses. Those courses are however often conducted by pretty inexperienced and young people. There is a clear career path with steps you need to accomplish in order to progress. The promotion policy however is very intransparent as some people get promoted who do not meet the requirements.
