Great springboard for entry level jobs, but sadly no great potential for long term employment
Wofür möchtest du deinen Arbeitgeber im Umgang mit der Corona-Situation loben?
The early reaction of immediately allowing the switch to Home Office is extremely gratifying, especially when you hear about certain employers who still refuse to allow remote working.
Wie kann dich dein Arbeitgeber im Umgang mit der Corona-Situation noch besser unterstützen?
Support during this crisis has been fantastic, and there’s a lot that’s been done to help the employees in this time.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
It’s rare that you encounter a company that really encourages the forming of bonds with your colleagues. We receive a budget for team activities to help strengthen the overall feeling of community, which works! Team members feels more like friends you happen to work with, instead of simply acquaintances you meet at work. A lot is done to make employees feel comfortable at the office, and the higher ups are really approachable, and appreciate feedback.
Kommunikation
Certain tasks are being taught from employee to employee instead of being taught right from the start. This isn’t terrible, but I think that it should be mentioned that you are expected to add knowledge on over extended time periods.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Great environment, as mentioned previously! There’s not a huge connection to other teams within the company, so the bond within the team is much stronger than with other employees within the company.
Work-Life-Balance
Once I’ve logged off, there is no expectation to engage with work related matters until you log in again. This really allows us to focus 100% while we’re working, and then recover the rest of the time.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
The higher ups are really approachable and open to ideas, but there is sometimes a lack of experience when it comes to managing larger groups of people. Necessary or crucial information can take longer to reach the people who need it, or certain info is given to some people, and then not to the others. It can be quite confusing to muddle through.
Interessante Aufgaben
The tasks are fun and CAN be a great way to flex creative muscles, however it can become incredibly repetitive very quickly. Innovation in content is encouraged, and you are encouraged to take on new responsibilities, but even that only goes to a specific extent.
Gleichberechtigung
There’s absolutely no difference in how people are treated! New or senior employee, both are treated with the same level of respect. If you have extenuating circumstances, the company is also very willing to work around those with you. The flexibility offered is great!
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
Everyone is treated the same.
Arbeitsbedingungen
The small office space is inadequate for long term needs, even as new hires start. However, the company is trying to make things still as comfortable as possible. The office has free snacks and drinks available to all employees, and help with IT equipment is offered immediately.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
I don’t feel like we are exceptionally environmentally friendly, nor specifically socially friendly.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
On first glance, the salary is great for an entry level job, but it’s important to then note the value that the work brings the company - considering that, the employees do feel underpaid. This makes it almost impossible to plan for a long term employment at the company because it just isn’t feasible for future planning. As said before, a great beginner job, but would force employees to later look for other offerings.
Image
Sadly there are a lot of misconceptions about the company and the work that we do! While amusing to hear what people think, it does mean that many people don’t take our employment seriously and dismiss it out of hand.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Management is encouraging about new ideas and the like, but there isn’t much opportunity nor room for career advancement. That’s not a bad thing per say, but this compounds the appearance of a great entry level job which encourages seeking other opportunities elsewhere later.
