The working atmosphere at Stocard is very nice. I am continuously encouraged to share my own ideas, which tells me that my input is valued.
I find it a bit hard at times to limit my working hours to the maximum that I am allowed to work. In order to stay within a specific task deadline, I often have to work longer than anticipated. Additionally, since my work is heavily dependent on other employees' feedback, I find myself checking Flowdock regularly during my time off.
To the extent that I have experienced the team culture at Stocard so far, it seems to be a very friendly and collaborative environment. It has becomes especially evident when working together with my immediate academy mates and my supervisor; everyone is always quick to help and understanding.
I am very happy with the way my supervisor and I are collaborating. The goals set for our work are clear and realistic. Additionally, as mentioned before, I am always encouraged to state my opinion and provide new ideas and have also come to take on tasks with more responsibility. All of this tells me that my work is valued and that I am trusted to do my work responsibly.
The communication processes at Stocard are well thought out. I like that all employees are encouraged to take part in the Monday Standup, so that information is shared amongst academies/quests and available to everyone. I also enjoy the monthly Allhands Meeting since it covers broader company topics, encourages you to have the "bigger picture" in mind and motivates you to work harder to bring success to the company.
I was not surprised about any of my tasks since the job posting had reflected them very well. From day one I found them to be very interesting and hands-on. I have different kinds of tasks that allow me to work on different skills - some foster creativity, others analytical thinking. I really like the fact that it's a mixture of tasks since it ensures that my work never gets boring :)
