This is okay, as long as you are honest about this.
Don't tell the people, that we want to improve something in the world. We want to make happy and rich our investors happy and rich and the same for our colleagues who joined very early.

If you want to hire people with good values and characteristics start to value them from the beginning and start to treat the employees in the same way you are promoting this on LinkedIn and other channels.
Don't promise things you can not deliver (salary bandwiths)

Most of the colleagues are very polite and you can feel save with them. But few of them are not. And this makes it really hard. The management doesn't do much against their behavior because they measure only based on output (not outcome) and not on personal characteristics.
Kommunikation
New priorities are coming from top to bottom very fast and often without a reason.
In general the communication is very weak with a lot of marketing bla bla instead of being honest. Like in many other companies - "We have a high focus on our customers" - But only after thinking about increasing revenue aggressively. Oh sorry we have no time for this now - but it is a long time story. Maybe we have time in 5-8 years...

Wefox is in the transition from startup to corporate. But we are claiming startup for us, to cherrypick the company side of it.
No one will ask you to work more. But no one will look to your working hours as well. Someone will blame you, that you don't do your work in the expected time. It doesn't matter, that the amount of work is way more than only for 40 hours per week.

For myself it was great - in general I can not say if it is always the same. I heard some not so good stories about other leaders in the company from colleagues.
Interessante Aufgaben
It is insurance business at the end. If you are interested in those things or Finance it can be nice. If not it is hard to get the understanding why we have to do our work
Arbeitsbedingungen
Support from the company to get some stuff for Home Office. But to be fair: They have to give it.
Laptops or better the setup are still a joke for more than 18 months now. Developer can not use their tools easily, because of a bad setup of application distribution and permissions and it is not allowed to get all quality of life tools, because Security team doesn't response to new tool requests.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
We promoted many many positions with a sport membership. We removed this in 2020 and never brought back.
To get salary increases to close the market gap is not working out. You get a small salary increase and in addition to this some ESOPs. A cheap way to buy people for a long time.
It is hard to hire new people if you respect the existing salaries in your team, because it is not possible to change the salaries for the whole team at once. Only allowed to do it for 1 or 2 people in the team.

It seems, that the image outside of wefox is okaish. But we claim us as a tech company and no non believe this or see us like this.
Internally you have some hard liners who love the company (or they send this feeling via Slack at least...) But in general the mood and feelings about the company is internally not pretty well. Many people are seeing the challenges and downsides which are not fixed for a long time now.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
If you are open to work hard and more you can improve. But it depends on your manager and yourself.
The offers from the company itself are a joke and usually you have no time to grow during your work time because you are packed with operational tasks.
