Generally good work place with some annoying, but not back-breaking issues.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
There is still quite a high team barrier, so it will depend on the team you're in.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
No inappropriate behaviour, but I do wish that some issues would be taken more seriously. Especially around the technical parts.
We've also had some issues with a colleague and after escalating it, it was worked on, but I don't think the resolution was very satisfactory for the team and worry that it might come back to us soon. (Edit: After leaving this review, my now ex-colleagues informed me that this was actually taken care of shortly after I left.)
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
On the one hand there is different initiatives and "clubs" for different social issues (POC/LGBTQ+ etc.). On the other hand I can't really give it more stars, because, for one, the privacy community is very much anti-dynatrace to the point that one of the biggest block-lists entirely blocks any URI with the dynatrace name in it. (I have never worked in any area where I would've come in contact with data collection, so I don't have any inside knowledge here. In this assessment I'm entirely relying on external ratings.)
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
For me personally, the salary was pretty good and you do get regular increases if they believe that you've done a good job.
However, the way that salary increases are handled is very opaque. You just get put in a meeting at some point and they tell you that you get more money. You cannot ask for more or initiate anything yourself.
The idea behind it is to not advantage people with initiative, but also reward those quietly doing their job. On the other hand, this way heavily favors visibility and I'm not entirely convinced that this is properly remedied. For instance, I'm working in a position, where I believe I have a very good overview over the performance of a few people, yet never was asked about it. Some of them also have seen less of a salary evolution than I have, even though I believe they might deserve it more than me.
Image
The image internally is very overblown. Which is weird, because it's a genuinely good company to work for, but they try (and partially succeed) to build a sort of cult following that Dynatrace is the best company ever and the best at everything and super cool and still like a startup.
It's more weird than an actual problem as you can still bring up problems and start discussions around it and often find good resolutions for them. The danger is more to sell into it and wear "pink glasses".
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Lot's of different offers to further your career. All of the ones I'm aware of are free of charge and stipulations. The new Academy in Hagenberg is great for new programmers, but there are also Dynatrace-wide offers around other topics more interesting for senior devs.
