Improve top-down communication. We are all well-educated adults - there is no reason to beat around the bush.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

The working style is very cooperative. In my department, no one is left alone: if you need help, ask for it and you will get it.
There is also enough time and room for fun - even if the workload is considerably high.

Kommunikation

Communication on the team level is excellent. If you need some information for your daily work you will get it (again: ask and you will be helped).

Communication from (higher) management down to the working level lacks transparency. This leads to complaints and a general "we don't want Dynatrace to become a US-style company" mood.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

I have experienced the best team spirit. Even if sometimes the stress level becomes very high, there is a friendly, cooperative atmosphere.
Compared to my previous employers, Dynatrace manages an outstanding collaboration.

Work-Life-Balance

I enjoy the very flexible time planning. You can choose between 2 days/week in the office without a reserved seat or 4 days /week with a dedicated seat. Fully remote is also possible in some positions. This allows me to arrange my work-from-home days and plan my child care accordingly.
The defined core time is like in most IT companies. And you can agree on exceptions with your team and/or manager.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

It depends on your department and team. In my position, I can talk to my line manager (or his manager) at any time and will be heard.
But I know that some teams in RnD are less lucky and you may have a hard(er) time to get your request through.

Gleichberechtigung

All cultures, genders, ages ... are found at almost all levels, teams, and labs.
At higher levels, significantly fewer women are present. It feels slightly worse than the already bad industry standard.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

There are not so many 50+ aged colleagues in the DEV teams. Those present are equally treated compared to the younger ones.

Arbeitsbedingungen

The offices are very well equipped. You'll find everything you need - and more.
If you have many contacts in US time zones organize your calendar properly. Make sure you get enough free time in the morning.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

We have seen some cultural clashes in the past year. US-like terminations are a misfit to what (younger) Austrian employees expect. I see this slightly improving and put my hopes into the recently founded works council.

Dynatrace supports voluntary work, including in the area of ​​environmental protection. Additionally, you can get the Klimaticket for Austria OR some vouchers if you commute by bike.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

There is always room for improvement. You may qualify for an annual bonus and/or stock incentives depending on your position and grade.
The monthly salary AND the bonus is a very nice annual salary.

Very high in the IT industry. Less known anywhere else.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

Dynatrace encourages me to do self-managed learning. There is some support if you get a new role, but this could be improved.
In RnD, there are some opportunities to attend conferences, but not too many.
