Unfortunately - don't recommend at all, and it keeps getting worse.
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
I liked some of my colleagues, it was the only thing that made it ok. They also paid on time.
Back in the past, I liked working from home and work life balance. But that is gone now.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Everything else.
This company made me burnt out after couple years out of school.
I would also like to say, and I don't want to generalize, it is maybe only for my own department, the biggest raises, bonuses and promotions were given only to Austrian people and except one, only Austrian people are in lead position in my ex-department.
I also witnessed people being being treated like just numbers withing the company, by being transferred against their will to different department. (And when we spoke up about it, we were being told nobody is holding us hostage in the company and we are free to leave if we don't like it).
In my team/department the pay is/was distributed strangely. It is said it's based on the tasks and job you are doing but in reality, someone with more experience was doing much less work and not that good work and still being paid much more. But again, could be just my team/department. It could be due to our manager not even knowing our workload as mentioned before.
I know I will get a reply to my review that they value a culture of feedback and etc. But please note that I did talk to people, I did speak up about stuff that were my business and I did try to give honest feedback when leaving. However, it was not welcomed with my direct manager. When I even mentioned one thing out of these hundreds, it almost led to a fight. Because at least in my department, the only reaction to any kind of feedback that is not positive is to get mad and offended and be like 'what do you mean? that did not happen. I don't agree...'
I know this will sound like I am bashing this company, but I am honestly just sharing my experience. I do truly think that there are amazing people within this company and there is really a lot of them and if you get a chance to work with them, you will enjoy it, if you will be in luck of catching a good leader, you will have a great time in this company because they will shield you from all of this. I think me and everyone who is writing the reviews is hoping that instead of a reply to report something in some novomatic system or contact 2 business partners that are left, you will send it to the people who should read it and do something about it. Because it's repeating in every review.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
- 360 feedback for the whole company
- pay more attention to who you promote, as promoting someone just cause you like them is not a good thing
- every team lead should have performance review based on reviews of their team (cause maybe if there is no one staying in the team, it's not a team problem?)
- put away the 60 % rule, cause it was done on a whim and it was absolutely not research based at all
- try to get at least 1 strong woman to the board, would be nice (please someone who is able to oppose in arguments with other board members and able to defend the employees)
- how about first remaking the office and than start some rule instead of making people eat in the lobby and by desk?
- don't use AI to write announcements to your employees
- career path for the whole company, not just the chosen departments
- give raises to people who deserve it
- don't promise something if you cannot keep your promise
Arbeitsatmosphäre
When I left couple months ago, it was horrendous. In the light of the recent changes, everyone was afraid to even talk to each other, let alone with our director, as we have experienced that voicing opinion publicly will earn us a talking to.
Kommunikation
As you can read in previous reviews, communication is so bad, that having none at all would be better. Anything that is communicated to employees and it's not written by marketing department (as I suppose they still have some sense) is written by AI. And I am 100 % sure. Communication from the board is even worse, if there is any actually. Because from regular 4x a year town hall meetings, we went to 0-1x per year. Nobody knows what is the strategy, as it looks like there is none, just impulsive decisions.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
I have to put 1 star, as I don't want this company to have even 1 extra star, because they don't deserve it, but this is the only thing that kept me sane. Having someone else witness the crazy things happening and being able to discuss it with them, is the only reason I am not crazy (which is not a joke, as I was extremely burnt out).
Work-Life-Balance
Now is non existent with the new rule. But even before really depended on your workload (which was not equal ever in my team at least). Flexible hours mean you can maybe plan and schedule your day how you want, but someone will always put a meeting when you are gone, or not flexible enough to change the time, so you still end up working till at least 5. The saddest part is, that it used to be couple years back really amazing.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Well, this again depends on in which team and department you are. I know there are couple of really great supervisors at Greentube. Not in my case unfortunately. My manager was really moody, telling us to do something, then saying that we did it wrong (even though made exactly like being told), cancelling meetings, and sometimes not even showing up and not apologizing, just pretending that it did not happen and that we were not just waiting an hour for them. Being so distracted that they don't know what is the team let alone individuals working on and assigning us stuff and taking extra from other locations to give us, even when all of us had already more than enough. Also sometimes, not often, maybe once every 2-3 months randomly snapping during team meeting at someone for no reason at all. But I would say the worst was the favoritism.
Interessante Aufgaben
Sometimes yes, but sometimes they make you work on a project for couple of months, just to tell you that there is actually no budget (even thought you kept asking about budget and there was some). Meaningless researches on stuff only to go with the option the board chose months ago... Just wasting your time.
Gleichberechtigung
There are 6 men on the board of the company, not one woman. In upper leadership, again, you need to really try to find a woman. It's very sad and I think that it is also a reason why so many topics are being overlooked, like mental health, etc.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
Depends on the team, but honestly everything in this company is based on favoritism, so doesn't matter age or how long you are in the company.
Arbeitsbedingungen
Absolutely not enough meeting rooms and facilities for meetings, it was really crowded in the canteen before the 60% rule, but now I heard people had to go eat by their desks, or just find a table somewhere in the company.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
There was a really great employee who had a lot of initiatives, great mindset, energy and was really into it. Well he was let go. And so were all the plans he had and then there was no talk about well being, mental health, etc.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Benefits are not bad, but they are now being policed as well, e.g. ability to take 2 sick days without doctor's note. For the salary - in my team/department - raises were done by favoritism, as well as bonuses. I also got promised a lot of it and in reality, the budget went to someone else.
Image
Honestly, thanks to Novomatic it was already bad, but since there was the new addition to the leadership last November, it's going down so bad. It's going back in time in every aspect, and no decision is research based.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
I could write a novel about this, but I will just sum it up - they say there is a career path. There is one for maybe if I am generous 50 % of the company. Instead of creating all initiatives for progression, training, learning etc for the whole company, they just do it for small parts so there is no equality in opportunities, you can't even give feedback about your supervisor if you are not in some parts of CTO, that's why there is so much bad management, cause no one is gathering feedback. You have your own learning budget, but sometimes it's being used by team activities, you cannot also choose everything, there are certain preapproved stuff.
