I like the fact that I can eat fresh and hot food every day and that there is a fitness room in the company to help me with my health. The fact that there is a company doctor is also very good. I've also often borrowed a car and an e-bike, which I think is great that the company provides something like that

Unfortunately, there are departments that see themselves very high up and talk to the others accordingly.

Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

I liked some of my colleagues, it was the only thing that made it ok. They also paid on time.

Back in the past, I liked working from home and work life balance. But that is gone now.

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Everything else.
This company made me burnt out after couple years out of school.
I would also like to say, and I don't want to generalize, it is maybe only for my own department, the biggest raises, bonuses and promotions were given only to Austrian people and except one, only Austrian people are in lead position in my ex-department.
I also witnessed people being being treated like just numbers withing the company, by being transferred against their will to different department. (And when we spoke up about it, we were being told nobody is holding us hostage in the company and we are free to leave if we don't like it).
In my team/department the pay is/was distributed strangely. It is said it's based on the tasks and job you are doing but in reality, someone with more experience was doing much less work and not that good work and still being paid much more. But again, could be just my team/department. It could be due to our manager not even knowing our workload as mentioned before.
I know I will get a reply to my review that they value a culture of feedback and etc. But please note that I did talk to people, I did speak up about stuff that were my business and I did try to give honest feedback when leaving. However, it was not welcomed with my direct manager. When I even mentioned one thing out of these hundreds, it almost led to a fight. Because at least in my department, the only reaction to any kind of feedback that is not positive is to get mad and offended and be like 'what do you mean? that did not happen. I don't agree...'
I know this will sound like I am bashing this company, but I am honestly just sharing my experience. I do truly think that there are amazing people within this company and there is really a lot of them and if you get a chance to work with them, you will enjoy it, if you will be in luck of catching a good leader, you will have a great time in this company because they will shield you from all of this. I think me and everyone who is writing the reviews is hoping that instead of a reply to report something in some novomatic system or contact 2 business partners that are left, you will send it to the people who should read it and do something about it. Because it's repeating in every review.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

- 360 feedback for the whole company
- pay more attention to who you promote, as promoting someone just cause you like them is not a good thing
- every team lead should have performance review based on reviews of their team (cause maybe if there is no one staying in the team, it's not a team problem?)
- put away the 60 % rule, cause it was done on a whim and it was absolutely not research based at all
- try to get at least 1 strong woman to the board, would be nice (please someone who is able to oppose in arguments with other board members and able to defend the employees)
- how about first remaking the office and than start some rule instead of making people eat in the lobby and by desk?
- don't use AI to write announcements to your employees
- career path for the whole company, not just the chosen departments
- give raises to people who deserve it
- don't promise something if you cannot keep your promise

Arbeitsatmosphäre

When I left couple months ago, it was horrendous. In the light of the recent changes, everyone was afraid to even talk to each other, let alone with our director, as we have experienced that voicing opinion publicly will earn us a talking to.

Image

Honestly, thanks to Novomatic it was already bad, but since there was the new addition to the leadership last November, it's going down so bad. It's going back in time in every aspect, and no decision is research based.

Work-Life-Balance

Now is non existent with the new rule. But even before really depended on your workload (which was not equal ever in my team at least). Flexible hours mean you can maybe plan and schedule your day how you want, but someone will always put a meeting when you are gone, or not flexible enough to change the time, so you still end up working till at least 5. The saddest part is, that it used to be couple years back really amazing.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

I could write a novel about this, but I will just sum it up - they say there is a career path. There is one for maybe if I am generous 50 % of the company. Instead of creating all initiatives for progression, training, learning etc for the whole company, they just do it for small parts so there is no equality in opportunities, you can't even give feedback about your supervisor if you are not in some parts of CTO, that's why there is so much bad management, cause no one is gathering feedback. You have your own learning budget, but sometimes it's being used by team activities, you cannot also choose everything, there are certain preapproved stuff.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Benefits are not bad, but they are now being policed as well, e.g. ability to take 2 sick days without doctor's note. For the salary - in my team/department - raises were done by favoritism, as well as bonuses. I also got promised a lot of it and in reality, the budget went to someone else.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

There was a really great employee who had a lot of initiatives, great mindset, energy and was really into it. Well he was let go. And so were all the plans he had and then there was no talk about well being, mental health, etc.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

I have to put 1 star, as I don't want this company to have even 1 extra star, because they don't deserve it, but this is the only thing that kept me sane. Having someone else witness the crazy things happening and being able to discuss it with them, is the only reason I am not crazy (which is not a joke, as I was extremely burnt out).

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

Depends on the team, but honestly everything in this company is based on favoritism, so doesn't matter age or how long you are in the company.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Well, this again depends on in which team and department you are. I know there are couple of really great supervisors at Greentube. Not in my case unfortunately. My manager was really moody, telling us to do something, then saying that we did it wrong (even though made exactly like being told), cancelling meetings, and sometimes not even showing up and not apologizing, just pretending that it did not happen and that we were not just waiting an hour for them. Being so distracted that they don't know what is the team let alone individuals working on and assigning us stuff and taking extra from other locations to give us, even when all of us had already more than enough. Also sometimes, not often, maybe once every 2-3 months randomly snapping during team meeting at someone for no reason at all. But I would say the worst was the favoritism.

Arbeitsbedingungen

Absolutely not enough meeting rooms and facilities for meetings, it was really crowded in the canteen before the 60% rule, but now I heard people had to go eat by their desks, or just find a table somewhere in the company.

Kommunikation

As you can read in previous reviews, communication is so bad, that having none at all would be better. Anything that is communicated to employees and it's not written by marketing department (as I suppose they still have some sense) is written by AI. And I am 100 % sure. Communication from the board is even worse, if there is any actually. Because from regular 4x a year town hall meetings, we went to 0-1x per year. Nobody knows what is the strategy, as it looks like there is none, just impulsive decisions.

Gleichberechtigung

There are 6 men on the board of the company, not one woman. In upper leadership, again, you need to really try to find a woman. It's very sad and I think that it is also a reason why so many topics are being overlooked, like mental health, etc.

Interessante Aufgaben

Sometimes yes, but sometimes they make you work on a project for couple of months, just to tell you that there is actually no budget (even thought you kept asking about budget and there was some). Meaningless researches on stuff only to go with the option the board chose months ago... Just wasting your time.

Dear former Greentuber,

Thank you for your review and for providing your experience in our company.

We are pleased to read that you highlight our amazing people and that you enjoyed your time at Greentube, especially the work-life balance.

Naturally, we regret that your satisfaction has decreased over time.

We are very proud of our international environment and diversity, including in leadership positions. Due to our structured processes, such as internal recruiting, appraisals, and salary/bonus processes with the involvement of our HR experts, our highest priority is to avoid any favoritism and ensure fairness and equality within the Greentube group.

In case of any restructuring, including team changes or adjustments of our goals/projects, respectful and transparent communication with our colleagues is key to avoid disappointment and misunderstandings.

Our new Hybrid Work policy and flextime agreement (core time from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm) aim to ensure a healthy work-life balance. Preventing burnout is a top priority. In addition to common feedback/communication channels like the manager, HR Business Partner, and anonymous feedback box, our dedicated company psychologist provides support for our colleagues.

As you had a very different experience from what we stand for, we hope that you will reach out to us and give us a chance to discuss your experience in more detail in person so that we can clarify topics and improve in specific and targeted areas/departments.

We are committed to maintaining and fostering a great working environment.

Thank you for taking the time to read our statement.

Several years in this company with ups and downs

Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Colleagues, Salary

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

1.) New 60% Rule
2.) Nobody listens to what people think
3.) A lot of weird unreasonable business decisions have been made without reasoning e.g.: Acquiring of companies that we don't really need (cost more money than they bring value)

Verbesserungsvorschläge

1.) One Mandatory Office Day -> Rest free to chose
2.) Value peoples opinion, make them feel heard
3.) Don't do anything someone above says "just because"

Arbeitsatmosphäre

There used to be a nice working culture in this company where people talk to each other before they just apply some changes. But now out of nowhere after record breaking figures during and after corona people are forced to come back to the office for 60% of the time, worth mentioning that there is several special exceptions for people who really need it (which I find positive) but there is also exceptions for people who don't really need it.
Overall I think this would be way better if there is like 1 fixed day where people come and the rest is free to choose.

If you compare this to any other IT company, we are going back in time.

Image

Everything on social media feels very fake.

Work-Life-Balance

This changed drastically with the "60% in office change", used to be very nice during and after corona until 1st of October.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

I have the feeling that if you know the right people in this company you can become anything which doesn't really speak for the company.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

If it wasn't for the team and my colleagues I would not be here anymore.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

My direct manager is really cool and knows how to treat and manage people and work. Above him I would say it's a bit unclear what is happening, there i a lot of questionable decisions.

Kommunikation

Used to be way better.

For the "Come back to office for 60% of the time change" there was an email sent with a link to an internal announcement and FAQs where you could comment without naming a real reason for the change, to be honest, chat-gpt would write similar reasons.

One employee started a voting where ~ 300 people voted against the change and the company did nothing about it.

One week later the COO of the company held an online call, started it very promptly without waiting for people to join, said a few meaningless words, so again no explanation. After the call there was no recording to watch, the internal announcement site was taken offline so no one could comment against it anymore and thats it.

This was enforced with no reason, not communicated properly + the office facilities are not in the shape they need to be in order to accommodate for everyone to come to the office again. Teams are across the world, everyone is in calls all day and we have a non cubical open office.

As of October 24th we still have construction work downstairs that we hear from time to time in the morning + I dont know how long it will take them to adapt the office spaces on 6 floors to work

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

One of the reasons I am actually still here. The company pays very well.

Gleichberechtigung

I would think that it's more or less even but I cant tell for sure.

Interessante Aufgaben

Work is more or less interesting depending on if you have time to work on things that are innovative. Mostly there is work to implement new brands and do regulatory work.

Gleichberechtigung

Leider = 0

Dear Colleague,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
Although you mentioned that you do not expect a reply, we take the liberty of clarifying some topics and would like to invite you to reach out to your HR Business Partner or manager directly.

We’re pleased to hear that you appreciate your colleagues and the public transportation benefit. We are proud of our diverse, talented teams from around the globe, which create a unique and inclusive work environment. Our benefits program was shaped by employee feedback, so it’s encouraging to see positive feedback in your review.

That being said, some parts of your feedback are concerning, such as a heavy workload, not feeling safe to ask questions, and feeling undervalued. Your comment regarding perceived disparities in promotions is also highly concerning, as fairness and equality are core values at Greentube. We have implemented standardized processes to support these, and we are committed to maintaining a positive, supportive workplace. We would appreciate a personal conversation to address these concerns in more detail.

Regarding benefits, please feel free to review our offerings on the intranet or contact our HR team directly. We’d love to hear your feedback and ideas about our program.

You also mentioned our new Hybrid Work Policy and noted that our office facilities do not meet your expectations anymore after the implementation. Hygiene and cleanliness in the office are crucial to us; please do reach out to our Facility Management team to address any issues you’ve observed.

Lastly, we’d like to learn more about your experiences with business travel, including your feedback on accommodation and meals. Understanding your perspective can help us make any necessary improvements.

Thank you again for taking the time to read our response. We hope to connect soon to discuss your feedback in more detail, gain mutual understanding, and explore solutions together.

Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

- The team

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

- Gossip is the number one activity in a lot of verticals, which creates an extremely toxic environment
- Doesn't matter if you work hard, what matters is if you get along with your boss and they like you
- The recent strategy changes really don't reflect what Greentube used to be
- A lot of people work far more than 8 hours per day, and have to be available nonstop (even during vacation)
- Employ people who can drive the company forward, and stop supporting people in upper management that clearly have no idea what they are doing, how to lead and how to listen to others

Verbesserungsvorschläge

- Stop micromanaging
- Fire the upper management that is clearly not bringing any value to the company (in the yearly assignments, we clearly voice our opinions and needs, which are never heard)
- Stop working people to the bone, and then act like it's the most normal thing
- It's an iGaming company, but the budget is so tight you can't even dream of workshops, conferences, etc.
- Stop with the lies and trying to upkeep a fake social media image, and actually show love and care to the people working
- HR needs to stand up for the employees, and start communicating things clearly and concise
- They need to update their benefits
- 60% back to the office, when a lot of upper management lives outside of Vienna? And not just upper management, a lot of people moved outside of Vienna or to the outskirts
- The office is too small for everyone (no parking spots?)

Arbeitsatmosphäre

Loved the team. Tried to get along with the upper management but unless you're their favorite, it won't be a nice ride. They sure find a way to work you down to the bone, and then ask for more.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

For 2 years in a row I was told that I can't get a raise because there is no budget for it. And what little raise you get, does nothing with the current inflation.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

None.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

Whatever is left, comes from employees going that extra mile for each other, the company doesn't help with that (no budget for team events, get togethers, anything).

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

Honestly? There aren't that many. And those who are with the company for 10 years, get either fired, or are unappreciated.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Again, horrible. You're a number, someone that can be and will be replaced. They have shown us that over and over again in the past.

Arbeitsbedingungen

60% back to the office, for what? Useless micromanaging that is killing the few great people you have left in this company.

Kommunikation

Horrible.

Gleichberechtigung

Women work more, have to prove themselves more and have to sacrifice far more. I've seen it first hand.

Interessante Aufgaben

It's igaming.

HR-Team

Dear colleague,

Thank you for taking the time to write down your feedback and input.

It is of utmost importance for us to foster a healthy work environment, and to ensure that our employees feel supported and heard.

Your feedback about micromanagement and the perception of favoritism is particularly concerning, and it is something we take seriously. We encourage you to please reach out to your former HR Business Partner as we want to tackle these issues when they arise.

We also would like to offer to look into your salary increase history. We have implemented a standardized appraisal and salary review process that ensures a fair and competitive salary increase.

Our benefits are updated regularly based on the feedback of our employees. Additionally, there is a budget of EUR 1,500 for trainings and EUR 300 for team building activities per person each year. Conferences can be planned on top of this.

While we appreciate the love for your former team, we deeply regret that other parts of the company negatively impacted your experience.

Once again thank you for your time and input. We hope to hear from you to be able to look into your feedback further.

All the best & regards,
Your HR Team
