Huawei is a young and hardworking company. The international cultural background will bring more ideas to those who work inside. It can also help me to make my own career planning better. The company has set up a lot of clubs, so that employees can not only work, but also cultivate their own interests and do what they want to do. A friendly colleague will give you your insights in your usual work. I hope this company will get better and better.
Different cultures bring different cultural impacts. Sometimes Chinese employees and European behavioral workers will behave differently. This is a disadvantage and also an advantage, which means a diversity of ideas.
I hope the cultural differences of the company can be better integrated.
At Huawei, the communication between managers and supervisors is not only strategy, goals, plan, achievement, but also my personal life/career plan. The managers are happy to listening my personal issues too. They are also willing to help. My manager told me that we can focus better on office issues when we have similar understanding of private issues. The Chinese culture of caring is everywhere in the office
I was a regular member of a sport club organised by the company. We liked to wear the Huawei Logo T-shirt. And of course at the national level event, our image drew a lot attention from the supports, and we talk about our company, service, products, our people etc (Like talking about our own achievement with big smile :)
Work - Life - Balanced in modern life or modern society is a ideal environment. during my internship of 4 months, I heart different voices in the office, but i also hear that people saying how do balance it well is also something new for us to learn, to think and to adapt. (advanced technologies just like everything else, has advantages and disadvantages).
Huawei has 180000 employees and providing its products and service in more than 170 countries. With this huge platform, I can imagine that the career development is never a problem, as long as you perform and happy to learn . During my practice training at Huawei, i have seen others got promoted, transferred between department, and between countries.
I was satisfied with my salary and pension contribution and benefit during my practice experience. I also like the flexible working time when i can not be on time in the office.
In our office, we have recycle points (Alu, papier, PET, Karton, Akku et.)
We also have a very sophisticated recycle system for IT spear parts.
Being together is part Asian culture. During my 4 months practice experience, we had several interesting team building activities. It is also interesting for me as an intern to see the openness, frankness and happiness among everyone. I missed all these meaningful activities at Huawei, e.g. sport club, cooking activities..
I think it is part of Asia culture to show our respect to senior employees and even respect more of senior member's contribution.
The focus of customer first and providing the best products and service is the core value at Huawei. To achieve the highest quality in the market can not come from just one employee or one team. When we had our goal clearly setup, all we need to do is achieve it together with all team members, and conflicts are welcomed and solved well between us.
The work environment is very international. Around me there are always team members speak their mother language, and some of them louder than other, some of them are more actions than other. The equipment at company was not the best when I was there in 2018. But I was told by now the office has the most advanced office equipment after several months renovation programme.
The frequency of communication surprised me. At Huawei the two- way communication is excellent, which makes sure from both side (employer and employee) are on the same page. The topics are wide - ranged. We liked having meeting here. What I also learned during my practice experience, after a open communication, a summary should be provided within 30 mins. From this practice, i benefited even more from just a communication -- it is not just a talk, we will improve or do something according to the summary.
I notice this very well balanced and paid attention by my supervisor
During my practice experience, I was given tasks covered 3 business areas from platform team. I was also encourage to involve in challenged tasks. Through all these activities, my confidence for the future career are increased by all international companies.
