Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Employees help each other and some go above and beyond for their colleagues.

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

- bad communication
- lack of empathy from directors and especially HR
- cost savings in the wrong places
- lack of self-reflection

Verbesserungsvorschläge

- Prioritize a good team spirit and collaboration to get everybody motivated again.
- Modernize views on part-time-work, home office and team building events. It would make the employees so much more content and happy to work for the company.
- Work on a honest and open communication especially locally.
- Take criticism seriously and reflect on feedback instead of covering up issues.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

The overall atmosphere is one of disinterest and has become impersonal.

Kommunikation

On a team level the communication is good. On a company level it is insufficient. Often the employees are only informed of major changes after they have taken place at best, or not at all. There are world wide quarterly communication meetings that concern the whole company but very rarely local communication meetings.
There used to be a local all-hands meeting every quarter where all local issues were addressed and new hires were introduced and so on. This has almost completely stopped and even though requested from several employees has not been picked up again.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

Within some teams the team spirit seems to be good, and some actively work on it by doing activities together in their private time.
But the overall company team spirit is non existent at this point. Even thou team building events have been requested and proposed by the employees nothing seems to be done to change general lack of team spirit.
It seems it is simply not important to directors or HR to do anything in that regard.
Team events have been cut completely, first due to COVID and now due to cost saving. It seems like the company wants the employees to forget that there were ever any events at all.

Work-Life-Balance

Flexible working hours allow for a good work life balance. However, when a team is constantly understaffed and the individual employees end up doing overtime on a regular basis it seems clear that something does not add up.
Home office is not allowed only tolerated in special cases. Employees have been asking for more open mindedness in that regard for years. But management is strictly against it and holds on to outdated views about it.
However, during the move to the new building, when offices were not yet ready to be moved into, management was happy for all employees to work from home.
Part time work is also really difficult to negotiate. The company wants only full time employees and is not open to the benefits that part time workers can bring to the table.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

On team-management level the supervisors are professional and relate to the employees. On a directors level there is a lack of empathy and understanding for the daily issues that occur. There is no one to turn to in case of personal issues. There is a lack of trust in directors and HR. Employees do not feel comfortable addressing issues with directors or HR.

Interessante Aufgaben

Tasks can be manifold. This is interesting but can also lead to people being overwhelmed.

Gleichberechtigung

the company consists of 90% male and 10% female employees. Therefore it is hard to judge gender equality for example.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

It seems as long as they work well everything is fine but as soon as there is an issue the support is gone.

Arbeitsbedingungen

The building is really nice to work in and offers a lot of comfort.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

The salary is average, but since the pandemic there was no other benefit for employees.

Within the company there is a lot of frustration that is not visible from outside. HR is eager to represent the company in a good light. It would be better to take criticism seriously and reflect on it instead of only trying to represent the company in a good light towards the outside.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

There is no opportunity to grow in the company for part time employees.
