Arbeitsatmosphäre

I must say that the work atmosphere leaves much to be desired.The overall rating for the work environment is low, primarily due to management's refusal to acknowledge or address issues.

Whenever problems are raised, they are either ignored or dismissed as non-issues. This lack of responsiveness from management is disheartening and creates a frustrating work environment.

It's crucial for a company to listen to its employees and take their concerns seriously to foster a positive and productive workplace.

Kommunikation

Additionally, communication is very poor or delayed. This was not the case before the move. Previously, there were regular local All-Hands meetings that promoted communication and addressed issues in a timely manner.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

Moreover, the sense of camaraderie among colleagues exists only within a few departments. No effort has been made to improve inter-departmental exchange after moving into a single building. Even departments do not communicate with each other.

Work-Life-Balance

If you can overlook these issues and just stick to your 9-5 routine, you can have a great life. The work-life balance is really good in that case.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

The behavior of supervisors becomes particularly problematic when looking at middle management. Anyone at or below the Director level shows no leadership skills and would be better off conversing with Excel.

Interessante Aufgaben

The tasks at PI are genuinely interesting and engaging. However, the micromanagement destroys this positive aspect.

Gleichberechtigung

The lack of gender equality is astonishing for 2024. Women are barely acknowledged, there's no opportunity for part-time work.
Somehow, Homeoffice is just allowed for a selection of people.

The salary is quite low, and the social benefits, such as the pension fund, are split 50/50, which is uncommon nowadays. There is also a coordination deduction. During the Corona crisis, there was no cost-of-living adjustment. This is not an employer where one can expect a secure retirement. Falling ill is not an option, as the insurance in place can lead to financial ruin.
