After (almost) 30 years with Vorwerk with a lot of different positions I can really say: It never got boring!

Pleasant - I feel and felt respected all the time. As a leader, I try to reciprocate this to my team.
Kommunikation
We have regular "Town Hall" meetings - both with our our local Management Team as well as with the Executive Board. All questions are allowed and information / data is openly shared (much more now compared to e.g. 5 years ago)

I rarely do any overtime plus 2 days homeoffice per week. Can not complain...
I always got all my holiday wishes approved - and do the same with my Team members. They self-organize in between them, so that projects are not jeopardized due to overlapping vacation plans. We have a lot of freedom, as long as the results are delivered...

I had about 10 different bosses in my time in the company. All but one were demanding and always fair. For certain decision we are consulted, for others not (which is normal). Targets are set fairly.
Interessante Aufgaben
I was Sales Manager in Germany, after that in strategy development, became Product Manager and Marketing Manager, was responsible for Business Development and country openings (Austria, China, Czech Rep., Mexico), later went into digital topics. Every 3-5 years something new and interesting. Guess, thats the reason I'm still here...

Vorwerk International is quite diverse. 47 nationalities are working here, old and young, more ladies then men...
And: Being a gay man myself, I have never felt any discrimination!
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
At 58 years, your business life and career is slowly but steadily approaching it's last stage. I have achieved what I could achieve and I feel my opinion and experience are still valued. I have never seen somebody kicked-out because of his or her age. I personally also value experience when I hire. We do not have this "youth cult" - fortunately!

Being a Direct Sales company is always implicated with something dubious. However, we are in the business for 140 years and are doing Direct Sales for over 80 years. We would not be here and still going strong, if we had a questionable business model. And our customers LOVE our products. Just google Thermomix or Bimby or Kobold...
Karriere/Weiterbildung
I had a lot of chances to develop - and I used them. I believe this is still possible for everybody. We like to promote internally, if somehow possible.
