Clear mission of the company. Quite a well balanced working environment with driven colleagues who are motivating with a growth mindset.
30 days annual holidays and day off on birthday.
I enjoy both the product and the overall working environment.
It would be great to have additional vacation days as a reward for employees who have been with the company for several years.
In general there is positive working atmosphere. Everyone is very helpful, supportive and friendly.
The company upholds high standards for its product and consistently delivers that level of quality to its customers.
In my team, the work-life balance is generally good. The company's hybrid policy, along with the option to bring your dog to the office, really enhances the overall work environment.
The learning and development budget (€1,000) has been helpful in supporting the skills I want to develop, and my manager is very supportive of my efforts to improve in these areas.
- The salary is average for a start-up in Berlin, but with rising inflation, it would be beneficial for companies to adjust compensation accordingly.
- 1000 euros for Learning and Development.
- Once per week you can order lunch, fully subsidised by the company.
- Paid subscription in sports (USC,...) or BVG
- Dog friendly office
- German classes once a week
- Hybrid working policy
You can get a BVG card which helps the environment.
In general people are respectful, approachable and friendly. There is a nice and comfortable atmosphere in the office.
Long-term employees are valued for their experience and knowledge, though it's unclear to me whether they are fairly compensated for it.
I feel supported by my manager. It is easy to communicate and ask questions. I cannot really comment on other managers in other teams since I have not had the opportunity to work with them.
The office environment is pleasant, and the well-stocked kitchen with plenty of snacks is a great perk. However, the limited number of meeting rooms can be a challenge, and at times, it's easier to hold meetings from home.
The teams are attentive and receptive to feedback, and regular meetings keep employees informed of management decisions. However, keeping up with updates on certain topics can be challenging, especially as things evolve rapidly.
There aren't many women in top management positions, but the People and Culture team has taken initiatives to promote greater diversity within the company. We now have a women's group that helps increase visibility and support for women in the workplace.
My role involves tasks from various areas, primarily in purchasing and finance, but I also handle diverse responsibilities that keep the job engaging. My manager is considerate of my preferences, ensuring I can continue working on and learning from areas that interest me.
Knowledge- & quality-driven Start-up with a purpose, supportive colleagues with growth mindsets, various ways to take over responsibility
There is sometimes not enough time to emphasize on learning (e.g. for new leaders) or overall company topics and processes need to be communicated and lived by more consistent since the company is growing.
- Further invest in a good company culture & processes to scale
- Focus on Leadership enablement and communication
- 30 vacation days
The atmosphere at Aignostics is really good. People are really engaged and driven by the mission. Everyone tries to do their best in accomplishing it while focussing on being a team and supporting each other. There are monthly meetings where employees can contribute topics e.g. on pathology or machine learning. Since there are employees with different knowledge backgrounds this is very helpful.
Image is very good, our customers see us as experts in the field since the work is also very scientific and research oriented. Quality is very important here and people really stand behind the company mission.
Depending on the team the workload can be quite high but there are processes in place like overtime reinbursement and time tracking. I experienced way worse inbig companies and for a start up I think it is really good!
In regards of learning they provide 2 days of Learning days and every employee has a personal budget of 1000€ per year for learning initiatives (on top of companywide trainings on communication, leadership, stress management etc.). Career wise the company is still quite small so possibilities rather lie in job crafting and there are no clear defined promotion lines in place. There is a 360° Feedback process as well as a Yearly Development Plan process to look for career- and learning possibilities.
The salary is normal for a startup in Berlin, they have annual appraisals. Also there is weekly free lunch, lots of snacks and drinks in the office, new IT equipment & bose noise cancelling headphones and you get reimbursement for either public transport or sports (urban sports club, classpass). They also have jobrad. And of cousre the L&D budget on top of your salary. The vacation days (28 days) could be more from my perspective.
Everyone is open to help out, if you have questions you can ask anybody.
Especially for a startup there is a mix of age and senior colleagues (as far as I know) are perceived for their valuable knowledge which is very important for the company and maintaining good quality.
I am very happy with my line manager since they communicate open and transparent and give me feedback on a regular basis. Companywide there are some new leaders so the standards are different. But there are companywide training programs to work on this.
Flexible work possibility, 2 days per week office attendance in the Berlin office, possibility to work remote. there are also companyparties in summer and winter and each time has as well team events.
Communication is very open and appreciative. Since there are many changes the overall communication is sometimes not up to speed. But other than that news are shared via slack or in the monthly meetings. You have 1 on 1s with your line managers on a frequent basis.
Like in every workplace there is way to improve but employees are aware of the importance of diversity and open to learn and be aware of a more inclusive workspace. We also have ERGs for women to raise awareness and work on equality.
It never gets boring - there are rather too many tasks then too less so prioristion is important. But you are able to take over responsibility a lot and learning is prioritized high.
Very interesting product.
Helpful competent colleagues regardless of position in the company.
Feedback culture.
